bloody good going man! you definitely have a sub 3 in you next time with a training plan! Do you coach yourself? follow any sort of plans? also goal for GSR? I'm hoping for sub70 but had a niggle that's stopped me in my tracks the last 10 days so mileage has fell off a cliff - reckon I go out on pace and try hold it? suffer the final 6k if I cant hold it haha.
@CrownMyRun
4 күн бұрын
Cheers mate. I reckon go off ever so slightly slower for the first half, then try and speed up! Self coached, yes. I read all sorts of different training plans/ watch videos to come up with something for myself. Goal for GSR if my legs come back to life is Sub60 - but that's unlikely. Try and go quicker than 4:00/km which is still my half PB after Torbay was cancelled!

Do you find individual km pace splits to be a bit overbearing from pacepro? I found this during Dublin half recently, which also has some hills. Do you think it's a lesser evil than having fewer, less precise splits?
@CrownMyRun
3 күн бұрын
I think there's a bit of luck in it/depends on the course At Hastings half earlier this year it was definitely overbearing, as there were many fairly steep inclines within each KM that the pace pro plan couldn't pick out (telling me to do 3:55/km and I'm looking up mount Everest vibes) as it can only average them out Here, as the hills were more gently undulating, it almost perfectly picked out for me when to push slightly or not and I could follow it pretty much religiously until 35KM.
