Just found you and subscribed. I’m 77 and live on my daughter’s small farm. Just went to collect eggs and check on the new chicks that hatched recently. Like your idea of a no spend month May try that for June. I did order an emergency weather alert radio which should arrive next week, but other than that, didn’t spend much in May. We are pretty much self sustaining here in the farm. Chickens, goats, sheep, calves, fruit trees, garden, artesian well and two 1000 gallon propane tanks underground. We’ve been here 14 years now and it’s a good life. Take care.

That’s awesome. I’m jealous. One of my favorite things is being out on the countryside delivering to the farms with all the farm animals. I think that would be awesome hanging out on a farm every day.

Have yourself a nice weekend. I’m grateful for each new day God grants me. Yes, it is peaceful here. Our covered porch goes all around the house and it is so relaxing to sit on it and watch the animals . I like to knit and crochet while having my coffee and just taking it all in. Very therapeutic. One of our hens is sitting on about 18 eggs that should be hatching any day now. Another hen has already hatched out 4 baby chicks. So darn cute! Nothing so amazing as when we have baby goats and lambs running around the farm. Our chickens free range. Our other animals have huge fenced pens and are able to roam from one pen to another freely. There are two streams and a large indoor for the animals to enjoy. There are also a couple pesky beavers that keep building dams blocking portions of one of the streams. So that’s a constant battle. We do have to deal with coyotes too, we we have three Great Pyrenees,an Australian shepherd, and two brown Labs that keep the predators at bay. Those Great Pyrenees are fantastic livestock protectors. Sorry I rambled on so long. It’s a good life here and I am so grateful and thankful. Blessings.

I have heard that donkeys 🫏 are good protection animals. Your place sounds great. I can see it through your description. I allways enjoy porch time. Another free thing that brings joy and peace.

I have heard that about donkeys but have never owned one. Owned horses but no donkeys.

Love the bohemian nomad vibes, Karl! Your joy over simple things like cleaning the toilet is so refreshing. Props for sticking it to the system with your minimalist lifestyle. I know we have to pay some tax. But I agree it is a lot and if you don’t pay 💰 they will take it from you with deadly force.

Everything is Tax Tax Tax!!! We pay taxes when we make the money Then we pay more tax when we buy something And if it’s expensive like a house land or a car We continue to buy darn gone Taxes Again every single year!!! Yes it’s very discouraging.

Hi Karl! Your channel popped up in my notifications so I decided to watch.😊 Everything has gotten so expensive now a days! I feel the same way. If you are getting SSI whatever you do don’t go for SS. It’s usually less. Take good care and have a Beautiful Day!!!❤

I retired (well) at 61. Not fooling with SSI until 67 at the earliest. I spend on what I want, when I want. Other than my 4 Harley's I have no vices so life is fairly cheap for wife and I. Stress level is zero and that's what matters.
