Nice video, man! Very solid pacing & talking-playing balance. I’ve been playing guitar since the 80s and I agree that this is probably the very best reverb in its price range. I use a couple of ambient reverb pedals (by Strymon & Eventide) but I always have this one on my board for when I want just regular plate, spring, and hall/room verbs. Always handy for that! This is a very underrated pedal, to me. Thanks! 🎸👍y

Thank you! Yeah I’m happy with the pedal, if you can find a good deal second hand it’s killer

Well, you sold me lol. I had a Bigsky and got rid of it ages ago and I need a quick replacement, this looks easy to use and perfect. Cheers

Don't scoff at the Hall of Fame pedal because of it's price. Mike Dawes uses one and he has had his KZitem channel and played solo including as opener for Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues and played guitar with him as part of his touring group. Mike may have upgraded his reverb I think he found one just a little better overall but the side by side comparison with the Hall of Fame was very good showing the TC pedal to be very good. I think Mike is going with a Nuenber Immerse $250 which is $100 more and is just a little better. As seen on KZitem Anderton's rig under $1000 with Mike comparing the TC with the Immerse so you can watch that and see just how good the Hall of Fame is. Just proves even professional musicians use TC Electronics

Great demo! I have a request. Can someone who has this pedal please try using it with a microphone and see what kind of reverb vocal effects you can get from it. I'm looking for an inexpensive means of creating different venue type effects. Thanks!

I use the shimmer verb with my band for climactic noise parts and after our shows the first thing other bands ask us is always “WHAT IS THAT PEDAL” I also combine it with a Mantic Flex and my Fuzztration for SUPER crazy noise and it’s so fun. Love this thing

Thanks for the video. Interesting, and yes, that soft click or whatever it is with the Reverb selector is freaking annoying. It is the same problem with the Flashback Delay

Great pedal video. I think ya covered pretty much all the main points anyone would want to know about it if they were planning on getting one. I especially liked the playing; the fact that it was dynamic and varied, with smooth runs and licks combined with some more percussive/staccato bits. I think that's especially important for reverb demos; rather than ONLY soloing and/or just finger picking chords. Although, would have maybe been cool to hear how some distorted/overdriven stuff would sound (I do think that clean is the best way to really hear the effect when it comes to reverb, but I hardly ever hear anyone do some smooth fuzz solos or some doom metal distorted droning with some good reverb; and I think that would be cool, but that's just me). The only thing I'd disagree with is the "affordable" part. LOL I get it, it's all relative and depends on your personal financial situation. It's definitely affordable compared to something like the Strymon Big Sky or some of the Walrus Audio pedals I've seen. But for me personally, I'm at that level where anything over $100 U.S. moves out of "affordable" territory and more into "need to save up for a bit" territory. As of now it's showing for about $160 U.S. on Sweetwater. Got it in my wish list and plan on getting one at some point (it's not like it's completely out of reach or anything), but for now I've actually got a TC Electronics Skysurfer that should be delivered tomorrow. It's only about $50 U.S. and for me that is a good "affordable" alternative until I'm able to upgrade to the Hall of Fame. ;)

Thanks for the review. Any idea how these reverb algorithms sound compared to the Boss RV 6 or the Zoom Multistomp MS-50G pedal reverbs? Cheers
@staytuned3068

No worries at all! I haven’t compared them side by side but I’d say TC holds its ground against most other pedals in its price point. When you start comparing to more expensive pedals like the big sky then the difference is a little more noticeable.

Anderton's music you can see Mike Dawes compare his Hall of Fame (that he use(d) solo and on tour with Justin Hayward. Might be easier to find on Mike Dawes channel. Compared side by side with a Nuenber? Immerse reverb. Price difference of $100 or more as the TC is readily available on eBay or reverb for under $90 used. TC $150 new?

You can only store presets in each of the 3 slots and you have to bend down to switch between them.

what price would you count as affordable? Since for me in NZ its about 380(like 230USD)
@staytuned3068

I got mine for $180AUD used like new so I consider it relatively affordable if you compare it to pedals like the Strymon big sky which go for like $600ish. And I think it’s almost half the price new of an Oceans 11 reverb.
