Piper wrestled with a lot in his mind. He was abused by his father, his best friend Adrian Adonis is killed in a vehicle accident. @@shirleypena4133 Lololol😂😂 That's interesting you'd say that, Ms. Pena. My late Aunt Samantha thought the same of the late Hot Rod. She met him and his missus with 2 of their kids (1 son & 1 daughter) at Disney MGM Studios in Orlando sometime in July, 1997. Did you watch the complete interview? The same documentary brought me here and I thought the first segment was just kind of uncomfortable for him. Maybe that is why he was stumbling a bit through his interview. He was trying to relate whatever interaction Hulk Hogan had in comparison with his own life but he couldn't and he was just used to interpreting most information through his own experiences. That combined with the fact that he was older and not in his prime accounts for this awkwardness in my opinion. After the commercial he is coherent and able to relate his stories to the hosts questions no problem.

I needed to see this interview for closure. I do wish he would've had anyone interview him EXCEPT this guy. I am not feeling this Eisen guy, just like he wasn't understanding Roddy at all. I do understand what he's saying about Hulk Hogan, even though as a black person I felt like many did. He was basically saying that the whole of Hulk Hogan is not on a tape from 8 years ago. He has accomplished many things. I would never want to take that away from him. As a person who watched a Hulk Hogan cartoon way back when, I wonder when I hear stuff like this; if I met the man what would he think of me. Would he sign my autograph and then say as I walked away, 'Even those N#$gers love me too.' I just wonder is that all he sees when he sees a person of another color, or does he see another human being, just like him? I can't believe this interview was just a few days ago. Basically what he's saying, although clearly he's taken too many bumps to the head in his life to fully be able to communicate his point, is that he is from a generation where there is a huge difference between truly hurting someone's feelings deeply, and someone acting like their feelings have been hurt by something that isn't even close to what it actually feels like to be insulted or humiliated. People are overly sensitive so they take someone's out-of-context public comments and try to act like it had some significant effect on their lives or it really hurt their feelings in a deep way. It's fake and overly dramatic. He then gives examples of times when his race or his heritage was made into a novelty or was looked at in a derogatory way. He explains how these things did not offend him because in reality they are not personal at all - they're just about one element of his appearance and what that element makes people think. Explains how when he goes to all these new places, the people might see the stereotype, but eventually they came to love the man. He suggests that the world not get so worked up over others stereotyping or making blanket statements because it has always and will always happen, and it says nothing about who someone is individually regardless of heritage.

Most of Roddy's stories and interviews during the last 18 months of his life were like this. I was fortunate to have met him a bunch of times over the years. He was a great guy in a profession full of scum bags. Miss ya' Rowdy Roddy.

Roddy Piper was such a nice guy and so incredibly entertaining. He sadly loved coke too much, but I'm glad that he lived his life and had fun but still was a great family man.

Piper looks tired here. He's still Piper doing his thing. He was dancing around the Hogan thing, but got lost on the way. You can tell he's had medical issues (Brian injuries) and other health issues that were effecting his ability to focus. He always did have ADHD. It wasn't drugs or anything like that. That's just how he was. After cancer, other than medical marijuana while he was have no chemo, he didn't mess around with anything drug or alcohol wise. Back in the day, sadly everyone was partying and using steroids. He admitted he did, though not do much that it screwed up his career, like with Scott Hall and X Pac, or his marriage. I always liked him as a kid, and as an adult I noticed he was one of the few guys who always wore his wedding ring in action, and stayed married to the same woman for for over 30 years. That's impressive when you look at everyone else in the wrestling profession.

***** He looks a bit puffy, like he's retaining water. If you saw him on Legend's House or any WWE event in the past year, he was so much thinner in the face. I think his health was going downhill for a while.

Jason Mc Some people with sleep apnea die from a silent heart attack. I have obstructive sleep apnea and use a machine when I sleep. I still stop breathing when I sleep. My body shakes to get me breathing again. Sometimes when I wake up i can my heart beating. It is very possible he had a silent heart attack from sleep apnea.
