When Jamie Lee Curtis started the H20 project she was never aware of a contract stating that Michael Myers will never die, no one brought that to her attention. After finishing the film, she was asked to do a sequel for H20, it was really hard to try and get her to come back for resurrection because she killed her brother, and the only way for her to come back for the sequel was to have her character “Laurie Strode” killed and she was actually the one who came up with the paramedic and psychiatric hospital storyline.
@user-cz9rq3xf5y

Michelle Williams and Josh Hartnett also declined to come back for the H20 sequel because it’s a stupid idea that Jamie killed her brother in the film and it was just I don’t know! But to bad Jamie had no choice to come back because of this contract.

This intro is very creepy, not just the music, but the whole room itself is rather creepy. The voice of doctor Loomis cutting in every know & then, the cut outs of the whole Michael Myers case, the info about Laurie Strode. Even the thunder snapping at the start is quite spooky. But the sketch of Michael has to be the scarist thing of all, those eyes are pure evil. The whole build up gives me shivers even now. But anyway I think its a great movie & Jamie Lee is my all time favorite actress :]

funnyfan93 I watched this series in backwards order: might've have seen this one before the rest. But this sequence was perfect : foreboding, spooky with the theme seeming to intensify as the sequence continues and the voice over sub for Donald Pleasence just added to the eerieness. John Carpenter didn't direct this one true, but Steve Miner did a very nice job keeping the mood and atmosphere more used than the graphic violence: most of the violence is either implied, quick or you see the after murder part.

Halloween H20 does suck, Not only the way Michael is portrayed in this film weak , the mask, and how this turned into a scream movie. If you didn't know the director made scream, but it completely ignored 4,5,6 and rebooted which kinda messed up the whole timeline. They agreed with Jamie lee Curtis idea which was BS. This movie was about jamie lee Curtis, when Halloween's main protagonist is Michael Myers who is a unstoppable force of nature trying to kill the rest of his family, but they made this all about Laurie strode , we see more of her and less of Michael. Oh and also him getting his ass kicked, isn't he suppose to be pure evil,unstoppable.

H20 was originally intended to ignore 4-6 but in a way, it still tied them in in an "Easter egg" fashion. In the opening credits in Dr. Loomis' office if you look at the pictures there is a picture of the bloody scissors used to kill Rachel in Halloween 5. To me, as minute as that detail is, it ties it all together. Laurie Strode couldn't hadle the stress of living in Haddonfield after the attack so in a desperate attempt to make sure that Michael couldn't find her she faked her death, and moved 2,000+ miles away to California to start a new life and hopefully ditch her brother forever. But after killing Jamie Lloyd (her daughter) in H6, he came for her to finish what he'd started. That's the most logical way to look at it and it fills all continuity issues/plot holes.

I could be wrong but I believe originally they weren't going to ignore all but the first 2. I could be wrong on this but I believe I remember that decision being made in part to Jamie Lee Curtis, so maybe the scissors is just a left over from the original script? Or as others are saying, a tribute.

Myers was only 21 when he committed the murders back in 78', 20 years later he would be 41, just above middle age. It's best to assume (which I always thought anyway) to see the scissors at 2:57 as the very scissors Jamie Lloyd used at the end of H4. At least it's hinted in some way if not directly obvious.

This is a new take on the original score back in '78. I like this version so much better than the original. I would love to use theme as to introduce me to my trainees when I start to train the poor bastards, :D

i loved this opening so much. it seemed so realistic and Michael Myers will forever be the scariest of them all. Its so sad how they made it so easy for Michael to get ahold of all the documents he needed to track her down.

I wish they'd make a sequal to Halloween Resurection, It kinda aggravated me how they showed Michael waking up up close & ending it like that, I've been waiting & waiting for a sequal! I'm still waiting!

Continuity error. Lauries yearbook says "class of 78" the first Halloween took place on October 31st 1978 which means she would of graduated high school in June of 1979.

The actress that played Marion Wittington, is played by Nancy Stephens, she was in Halloweens 1, 2, and H20, she's married to director Rick Rosenthal who directed Halloween 2 and Halloween: Resurrection(which he made a cameo appearance as Dr. Mixter.

Dr. Loomis: I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blank, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the *devil's* eyes. I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply... *EVIL*. R.I.P Donald Pleasence Michael Myers Halloween💯💯🧡🖤🎃🎃

According to the map, "Haddonfield IL" IRL sits where Odell, IL sits. Odell is only 7 miles from my house. Matter of fact, I lost my virginity in Odell, IL, so it's kinda neat to think that if Halloween were real, I would have became a woman in Michael Myersville aka Haddonfield IL 😃

What I do not get is AMC is airing all the Halloween movies except H20. What's with that??
@NPCBattleHub
8 жыл бұрын
+ScorpioBornIn69 Copyright issues. It's not just AMC, no channel doing "Halloween" specials anywhere are airing H20. Several of the Halloween movies have some sort of director's cut, deleted scenes, or alternate scenes, that are incorporated into the television versions that differ significantly from the theatrical versions. For example, the televised version of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, is quite different from Halloween 666: The Curse of Michael Myers, Producer's Cut. The same is true of H20. And usually AMC (or Syfy, Chiller, etc.) uses the appropriate copyrighted material and information when they air certain versions of a movie. Well, unfortunately, all evidence points to some sort of copyright infringement - one of these television companies, possibly AMC, likely aired one version of H20, while they used copyright information for a different version, meaning they aired one version of the movie without the proper copyright information. If this is true, it was likely a mistake, but these Hollywood companies take this stuff VERY seriously. This isn't certain, but it seems most likely, given that literally every single other Halloween title has been aired already, except for Season of the Witch, which will air this week anyway with the four night Halloween marathon. Not that I care, Season of the Witch is horrible in my opinion. I watch Halloween for Michael Myers, not androids, Pagans, and Stonehenge.

Like I get that it was so that there could be a time gap, but if you ask me, it was just an excuse for John Carpenter to try something new. It had its merits, and was definitely unique, but it could never hold its weight against the other movies.

Halloweens 4-6 aren’t supposed to canon in this timeline but you can see the scissors Jamie Lloyd stabbed her foster mom with in Halloween 4 in this scene
@travis_mitchell
Жыл бұрын
Agreed, but also, slight correction: Writer Robert Zappia stated in an interview, that this script was fully written with the events of 4-6 in canon, Laurie’s motivation toward overprotecting John, meant to reflect her grief over Jamie. A scene was written in the script where the events of those films were brought up by a student, which results in Laurie running away and getting drunk, but the scene was never shot. And can still be found online in script form. But I agree, the fact that the car crash and scissors from 4 are both referenced here, As well as how both Loomis and Michael being alive after H2 is handled as if it’s just common knowledge, makes sense if you’ve seen H6. Knowing Loomis was driven to madness at the end of that film, learning he was taken care of by Chambers, and dying obsess over Michael, is reflective of the Loomis at the end of that film, Not the one in the first two films. Aside from the comics connecting the two timelines, I’ve chosen to just see H20 as Halloween 7, for the sake of logic and continuity.
