The name of the kid in the Michael Myers costume that got run over by the cop and exploded against the van should sound familiar. Ben Tramer was the boy Laurie had a crush on and Annie set up a date between them.

Halloween 2 is the best sequel until Halloween (2018?). The kills are great. The hammer kill on the guard has stuck with me since I was a kid. The only thing I didnt like is Lauri being his sister, but whatever, I can live with it. Halloween 3 has nothing to do with Michael, and the other sequels get really bonkers. They do explain why Michael is seemingly immortal and driven to kill.

Carpenter has said Halloween 78 was a one off film he meant no sequels for it and it would have been better off for it. He was kinda forced to by the studio and he played ball with them as he knew in the future he would need funding for more films. The cop that hits the kid with the Myers mask into the exploding van is the guy who plays Myers in this. He might have the greatest name ever in Dick Warlock.

It’s been mentioned that you should watch Halloween H20. That movie continues the Laurie/Michael storyline. That rest venture to different characters

Thanks, Grizz! 🎃 Now with the revelation that there is an unusual connection between 'Laurie' and 'Michael', I recommend you go directly to HALLOWEEN H20: TWENTY YEARS LATER (1998) and make it a trilogy. Then watch the two alternate-universe/low-income/hard-rock installments from director Rob Zombie, HALLOWEEN (2007) and HALLOWEEN II (2009). Then, for a cult angle, you might want to watch HALLOWEEN 4: THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS (1988), HALLOWEEN 5: THE REVENGE OF MICHAEL MYERS (1989), HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS (1995) and end that string with HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION (2002). Then I want you to imaging that 'Laurie' and 'Michael' aren't connected in a familial way and watch HALLOWEEN (2018), HALLOWEEN KILLS (2021) and HALLOWEEN ENDS (2022). Then when it seems dead and buried, watch HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982), which is truly a stand-alone... only homaged graphically and a few costume choices in the two most recent movies. Above all (even if you don't follow my suggestions), have fun!!!

Halloween III: Season of the Witch has no connection to the 1st two movies. It's a whole new story. On it's own it's a decent horror movie. Some how Michael and Dr Loomis survive the fire and they return in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Then Halloween 5, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. Then in 1998 there was Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later, which ingnores 4 , 5 and 6, followed by Halloween Ressurection. The director of Halloween II returns for this one. Then they remade Halloween and Halloween II. IMO they suck big time. Now comes Halloween 2018 and they ignore all previous movies except the 1st one. Laurie and Michael are no longer related. Then Halloween Kills. Finally we get Halloween Ends which is the worst movie yet with the exception of the Halloween II remake. Complete crap.

Loomis didn't shoot because he had no bullets. He shot one through the car window earlier and five into Myers after he walked through the glass door into the hospital. Hilariously he shot seven in the opening of this film, after they reshot the stunt of him falling off the balcony - it's a six-shooter he was holding. Jimmy was supposed to appear from behind the curtain in the ambulance wearing a bandage around his head, both as a final jumpscare and to imply the possibility of a happy ending for Laurie - they cut that part of the scene out. Really this was Donald Pleasance's movie, whereas I'd say the first was Jamie Lee Curtis's. After Halloween III bombed - it being an entirely different story that Myers wasn't involved in - they would resurrect Myers, and give Loomis burn scars, and Pleasance would become the star of the Thorn trilogy (that's Halloween IV, V and VI). Jamie Lee Curtis would come back for Halloween H20, which decanonised the Thorn trilogy - being a direct sequel to Halloween II (1981). After Halloween: Resurrection, Rob Zombie would make a terrible remake or two. Then Halloween (2018) would bring Curtis back again, and that film would decanonise Halloween (1981) as it was a direct sequel to Halloween (1978). Thus I have laid out what must be the most convoluted franchise arc in history. Insofar as Halloween II (1981) goes: John Carpenter went back to shoot extra scenes, lifting the body count and brutality of the murders, influenced by the success (ironically) of Halloween's most unabashed rip off, Friday the 13th. I'm thinking of doing an analysis of this film versus the script on my channel this year to determine whether I think that was the right decision.

You should do Halloween H20 next since it's a sequel to this one and makes for the perfect Halloween trilogy IMO

The series and the timelines for Halloween go in completely different directions so depending on what film you watch after Halloween 6….make sure you know what movies they’re connected to. I definitely think you should give Halloween 4 a chance maybe 5 if you want to see more of that story. Halloween 2 and 4 are great sequels!

In the TV edit of Halloween 2 Jimmy survived and it's a bit more hopeful because Jimmy and Laurie say "we made it". This is also the only sequel to my knowledge that shows any part of the next day, November 1

Don't bother with number 3 it's not part of the Michael Myers theme, it's rubbish anyway.
