Nearly 25,000 people turned out to take part in the city's Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en celebrations with thousands thronging the Quay to watch over 600 performers recreate local historical tales and bring a series of multi-cultural myths and legends to life.
This year’s City of Bones theme caught the imagination of the crowds, and members of the public answered the call of Derry’s mascot Walter deBurgh to join in the fun and become part of the huge carnival procession as it swept through the city centre.
The parade, which is organised by Derry City Council, was followed by a stunning fireworks finale over the River Foyle as the crowds braved the rain to line the riverside for the display.
