Me playing Halo: Combat Evolved online
This is my examination of our culture's (basically humanity's) proclivity toward violent entertainment
I know that Halo isnt the most violent FPS out there, but the question is, do video games like this in general cause violence? ...IMO, no not necessarily
but they do indeed train people how to kill and desensitizes players to violence...and that's exactly what the military uses them for. Check out the documentary "Rise of the Video Game" to see how the military is connected to the gaming industry • Video
but overall, FPS are a government psyop aimed at getting young adults to join the military in a country without a draft
FPS in general do teach people how to strategize for position, conserve ammo, and to intercept multiple targets...and all this would normally be unnatural behavior to people who weren't exposed to gun culture in movies and games...and although I still believe that video games don't necessarily cause violence, I will admit that if a person were to commit violence, videogames would make them better at it. So it should be indulged with great responsibility, if indulged at all
