Finally got the Rohn Ham Radio antenna tower mast complete and ready to mount some antennas! Join me as I take you through the entire process of completing this antenna tower mast project, how I did things and why. I'll also break out the scale to put some real weights to see just how much extra weight I am adding by using heavier gauge piping. I had to do some welding on the antenna mast and additional tower support to lock everything down and give it more support. I plant on mounting 3 antenna's on this tower, 2 large HF antennas and one CP22e 2 meter antenna. I used 2 1/2" plumbing pipe, but in hindsight I should have used 2 1/4. But I believe this will work fine, but only time will tell if it proves to be too much load or not.
