I’m a big fan of Hamilton too! Especially the 38 khakis! The 38 khaki auto and the blue Tudor BB58 are my daily’s and I have a g shock square (solar atomic) as my beater. Sounds like we have very similar tastes! As far as brands that I keep coming back to, Tudor and Seiko are my favorite brands, but Hamilton makes the best watch for under 1k

Thanks for your video, I’ve bought the same watch after watching this✊ It was hard to choose between khaki king and khaki field auto 38mm I’ve decided to stay with this one and I love it. I have 6.8 inch wrist and it fits me perfect 🤩

It looks great in 38mm on your 71/4 inch wrist. All time classic. Sounds like the get together was a great time! Great video. Cheers 😁👍

It was a good time. You should fly out when we do it again😁. I think Bruce is coming next time as well.

I had a Hamilton 38mm then bought my Sinn 556 so I flipped the Hamilton. I then realized I liked the Hamilton more and couldn’t justify keeping the Sinn at how much it cost me. So I flipped the Sinn and got another Hamilton and I am so stoked to have this Hamilton back. Such a good value for the money imo.

My wrist is just above 7 inches. I just ordered the white/silver dial Hamilton 38 mm Auto. I’ve had an Islander field watch that runs off the Seiko NH 36 movement. I’ve been really pleased with it but have always wanted a Hamilton.

Thanks. There are two screws on the balance wheel, you have to turn them inward to fasten or outward to make watch going slower.

Nice video, mate! This was my first automatic watch and I still have it, as well as a Sinn 104. Yes, the Sinn is a step up in overall build quality. I figured the Sinn would be my new everyday, do-it-all watch. But it is like you say: in the end, the elegant design, simplicity and the military history of the Hamilton keeps attracting me. I do not intend to buy anymore mechanical watches, but if I had to choose between the Hamilton and Sinn, I might actually choose to sell the Sinn and keep the Hamilton. Such a classic. N.B.: I do agree on the crystal and lume. Luckily, the former is quite easy to remedy, so I had mine swapped with a coated crystal from Crystal Times.

Good looking watch. I just wish Hamilton would address the lack of decent lume and AR.

Absolutely. I just can’t wrap my head around why they don’t.

We have the same sized wrist, I’m wondering have you ever had the steel bracelet? If so how did it fit, thanks

I haven’t owned this on the bracelet but I have put it on a mesh. I guess for me it’s just more of a nato strap watch

I have this watch also. Great piece, but too dressy imo with the polished bezel and reflective crystal. If it had a satin brushed bezel, ar coating, screw down crown, and better lume, it would be a one watch collection watch.

I have been entertaining the idea of a Sinn 556 as it pretty much addresses those issues. Thanks for the comments!

too small! i have a 7.5 inch wrist and so many people told me that its cool to have the khaki in 38mm, the second i got it, i was not happy with how small it is. i love the watch made really well nice finishing, but man i can't pull this thing off on my wrist.

As I’ve gotten older the smaller my watches are getting. My wrist is roughly 7.25 and I prefer 36-40 anymore. Consider that 36 was a “man sized” watch, and watches are trending back downward in size, I’m guessing you’ll start to see smaller sizes. I can completely understand where you are coming from through, the first time I put on a 38 I thought it was way too small. I wore it for a week and learned a that I liked it better than larger watches. There is a reason the Datejust is still made in 36mm.
