Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to know. Would love to see a playlist of all sorts of screws and nails for different applications.

Legend, thank you. Was looking for concrete screws which where out of stock, so went with these instead. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tips, picked these up instead of smaller plugs and separate screws. Looks like a good job.

Why are they called hammer fixings you ask when it's actually easier to put them in with a screwdriver ? - it's because they pre-date the impact driver and the power screwdriver becoming affordable to DIYers and even most small job professionals. Good video, thanks !

Good job Milto - Can I ask what length those were - I need to fit some 45x 95mm x 2.4m lengths to a brick wall - 8x120 sufficient?

When you stagger you need to make sure that your drilling a hole in the brick not on the mortar joints, also make sure you wear safety goggles 🥽 and ear plugs, when your drilling. Also you can get concrete screws these don’t require any wall plugs advantage of this it won’t crack your brick or blocks especially if you are putting gate post close to the edge of brick work.

I actually only ever screw them in, I've tried rawlplug version, were not tight at all at 8mm. Dewalt were not tight at 8mm. Moly are perfectly tight everytime. Same 8mm drill bit???

One, in my case, fitted with just the masonry bit! Hit the screw head hard enough and it'll self-countersink!
