Great job! It’s a very tedious task to do this stuff… I know… but extremely rewarding…

This is great to know! we have been debating on a Willys kit or rat rod. I had a similar idea as you to using a motorcycle engine. I was originally looking at fiberglass panels, but may look at even aluminum panels and shape them how you did!
@limitlessbuilds
3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! I thought about aluminum for sure, but the cost really wasn’t outweighed by the weight savings. All the panels together don’t really weigh a whole lot. Thanks for checking it out!

You should check out metalshaper's channel. He does alot of sheetmetal for jeep stuff. Probably THE best out there... Keep up the good work, eh...

and you added something to the edge?
@limitlessbuilds
2 жыл бұрын
Can’t remember for sure, but I don’t think I did. It should hold up for just a couple panels. If you use thinner wood laminated together, the edges will also be stronger because the top and bottom of each sheet is the hardest part
@MultiVince84

Hello, how many amps do you weld the sheet of métal with TIG ? thanks
@limitlessbuilds
2 жыл бұрын
For the panels, depending on what I need to weld them to. If it’s 2 sheets together, probably set the machine at 80a, but I use a foot pedal so I would be using less than that.

Sao ko cắt khuôn thành nhiều miếng rồi ráp lại với nhau để khi tháo ra cho dễ ?

I'm not sure it would stay as flat doing that. I did consider it, but decided to try this first. Thanks for checking it out!

WELDING IT IN NEAR THE CURVES WOULD BE EASIER.
@limitlessbuilds
Жыл бұрын
Not so sure about that. That’s a lot of heat to put into a panel to weld/grind and expect it to stay flat. This was only a couple hours to do after making the buck

Thanks! Not sure where you could find some drawings, I used the old pieces to make my templates. I think they would be available online somewhere though. I’ve changed the shape slightly for my wheel size and for slightly more leg room too
