Johan, I think I can agree to meet you in the middle. Granted, Andrew wants to do a great job on follow-ups, etc. But, haven't you noticed more vids lately? I personally feel Andrew is seeing the fiscal value being reimbursed to him via YT ad money providing additional incentive to maybe look a little deeper for older content. Who wouldn't? His content has grown valuable. I think many/most of us would do the same. But I agree Andrew has done content follow up in the past

I live in Central Oregon, average soil depth is 18 inches. Then 200ft thick lava. So...it is a pain to dig even a short 3 ft deep trench. We used to drill and shoot w 40% atlas powder. Then hydraulic hammers came out.

Andrew, would it have been better to just cut the driveway at the road and put a drainage pipe in to prevent the water from even getting down the driveway? Looks like there's enough grade to make it work from the image at 10:35 into the video.....Seems like it would be less work in the end.

You could trench and form a concrete barrier at diagonal to block surface water away from the structure as an added approach.

Elevating that building, at the time of original build, was definitely the best and cheapest way to go. Gravel is cheap.
