I been doin the same for years. Pcord is light and compact. Doubled and knotted it has less stretch. Take care. Most tree huggers are detached from reality. Been hammocking for 2 decades. Great vid and tutorial.

I am just getting into using hammocks, and found your video to be very informative. I liked the tip about twisting the hammock for packing. I look forward to seeing your next video with your Hennessey hammock! Keep'em coming!!

That was just what I have been wanting to see how you do,You did a great job of explaining how you attach the para cord to the tree and why you use para cord and not the flat straps. Please keep the video's coming. Hawkeye

Of the 41 verities of snakes found here a bouts 6 are venomous all of those can be deadly and all of the 41 are cold blooded and will and do (given the opportunity) love to cuddle up to anything warm, and that includes you if you're sleeping on the ground. there are two ways that I know of to keep them out of your bed roll. a tent with a fully zipped up door and a hammock with mosquito netting. I have awoke in the morning to find a black snake draped over the ridge line if the mosquito netting, it didn't like being flipped off its perch any more than I liked finding it perched over my head. but at lest it wasn't snuggled up next to me.

Not a big fan of your style of straps, the way I do mine is simple and the only knot is the initial loop . Not sure if you saw the video of me camping with my kids, but I show how I do it in the first of the three.
