Motsi Mabuses heartfelt response was so beautiful. She is entirely right African music should be broadcast much more than it is the very definition of what unites us.

The lifts were amazing and the comments were so deserving. Craig needs to realize that sometimes the contestant's body has a natural way of being and a week on Strictly is not going to change it. He does not give any respect for that!! Also, he needs to study how elephants really communicate. The ending was representing the elephants.
@snufkinhollow318
Жыл бұрын
That's what I thought. For me, it was a natural 'winding down' to a dance full of more frenetic naturel/animal-inspired movements. I'm by no means an expert on Afro Fusion dance but I have done my fair share of music festivals over the years and seen quite a bit of African dance (although that descriptive itself covers a huge diversity). I think Craig was judging this on the style of choreography he is familiar with where there's a dramatic end on the final beat of the music. But many of the African dances I have seen continue until they reach a natural end, or go into another dance.

Craig wasn't meaning the very end, with the 'elephant walk' they went out of sinc with each other before that bit. If you watch it again it was just a part when they kicked and came forwards. I loved the dance & hamza is such a lovely gentle man.. sunshine indeed. 🌞

It’s cute but just a silly dance - they didn’t cure a disease or discover alien life. And it’s not like this is ballet and they trained and worked for years. It’s just an entertaining little dance. The being choked up and gushing like that and trying to describe it like sone world changing thing - they want this whole thing to be bigger and validated more than it warrants

well the predictions was right the BBC wanted a ethnic person to win he was never CRITIQUED all through the show even when he went wrong on so many levers !!! I will never watch strictly ever again one big FIDDLE
@teflwill
Жыл бұрын
Yeah...I know...that makes 4 ethnic people as winners...one was an ethnic English cricketer! I mean they even let women, deaf people and people from Essex win! The BBC have lost the plot...they even allow the final only be voted for by the British public with no judges scores! And even though he got the lowest advisory scores in the final, the public voted for the ethnic person anyway! What next...an Irish person?! Happy Christmas Terry.
@MissPurbeck
Жыл бұрын
And gosh Terence, don't forget all those ethnic professional dancers, and at least 3 judges of 'foreign' ( ie not English) descent ... is that a "fiddle" also?!!
