Hello Mr. Yattemita. I found your video and design very inspirational. I was impressed by the minimalist approach and the very clever use of epoxy. I am thinking about adapting some of your ideas and modifying them by replacing the aluminum posts with 3d printed components for my design. At first I was very excited because at first I thought the top and bottom where CD or DVD's (of which I have many hundreds), but then I realized from reading the many comments that those are made from aluminum that have a much higher heat conductivity than polycarbonate. Are those disks from a hard drive? For my design I plan to use a CD for the flywheel, since I have many of those. I found you piston design very interesting as well. At first I considered using to a glass tube with graphite piston, but your approach is making me re-think that there are other possibilities. Have you add issues with the piston leaking over time? Is there any lubrication on the piston/cylinder? ありがとうございました
@yattemita4447

Thank you for visiting. Those discs are from the hard drive. Please note that some hard disks are made of glass. For now, the piston does not leak. No lubricant is used on the piston / cylinder.

Magnets repelling or attracting each other?
@yattemita4447
4 жыл бұрын
The magnet of the piston and the magnet of the displacer are attached so as to attract each other. The behavior is as follows: When the piston goes down, the displacer is attracted and goes up. Next, when the piston moves up, the distance between the displacer and the piston increases, and the magnetic force weakens the attractive force. When this attractive force becomes smaller than the weight of the displacer, the displacer falls down. Repeat this.

Are the magnets attracting or rejecting each other? Do they have to be very strong?

Magnets attract each other. The magnet is a strong neodymium magnet.

Can I use an ordinary CD for the chamber?
@yattemita4447

Since CD is made of plastic, it does not know whether it works well because the heat transfer is worse than that of hard disk aluminum. Use metal if possible.

How much energy efficiency provide by mechanical barometer In one year since we are running out gas cylinder in lockdown and we required energy to cook food 👅😃
thanks for posting. good work. this is a novel concept. it is not clear whether it will function correctly, when there is a LOAD on the system; that is, when the engine is 'doing work'. cheers googletranslate
