A solid A for Effort guys! definitely worth trying again when the wind is 15-20km/h, and with a longer rope, it will be much more fun. Quote of the day: "he's a bit heavy."

Fun idea a tow bridal, now to hook it up to a portable winch, quite a work out though.

Thanks for the thoughts. Liked the Gemma's comment "..being a winch is quite hard work..". Maybe buy a pack of Husky's.

That's not a terrible idea about the sand in the nice flat laminar ocean winds. In most of the world the wind shifts too much for towing and gliders tend to fly and hit the ground.

Happy Medium is a good phrase for in between 2 conflicts of pretty much everything. Lol,You guys have So much fun. Try hooking up backwards and do ground control just to show what happens. Maybe an idea. Ps I would forget the workout gym,for sure.Thanks Take Care

Hi Guys, I just finished your online course, was great, thanks for that. This experience shows how much pulling force needed to keep the glider flying, do you have any idea on pulling force you were applying? and the wind speed?
@AndreBandarra1

Hey max really glad you like it. Not sure on pulling force, maybe around 20-30kg? Depends on how the pilot uses the brakes. More brakes is more pull but less speed and less brakes less pull but you have to run way too fast!

Hi guys. I am enjoying your videos and learning quite a bit. Do you have any videos on landing techniques? As in body position and running etc. I am having great difficulty in landing on my feet standing up. My legs keep giving way and thus hurting my quads. I seem to be leaning back but can’t visualise what it should look like. Thanks.

Cheers Dean! Different harnesses have different geometries and might make it harder or easier to be upright. As you get more experience the landing stance might come more natural, but you want to be fully upright on the harness and pushing your chest forward in front of the risers. One leg in front of the other so that you can hit the ground running as if there was no flare. Don't know if you've done hill launches yet, but the landing stance should be similar to the taking off one. Hope it helps!

Invention by Greg at flybubble ???? Lol... Now that is some big shoes on ego LOL.... We do the same here with a ELECTRIC winch and later on with a Koch stationary winch. One side note. Make the rope longer than it is easier. Happy flying....

What about using a bicycle instead of running?
@mraffifpv1685
4 жыл бұрын
Last week a friend used an E-bike to tow me. might works a bit better than running when the wind is really low (wind was probably 5km/h or less) as you holding speed is easyer but is was guit hard anyway. I guess if the wind is stronger you are better of doing it by running
