I have the KI 415 ripper i shoot 400 grain bolts and i love it. After 4 seasons of harvesting deer i found a spot on the limb that was splintered took it to my local dealer and they replaced limbs strings and cable for free because of the warranty. My local dealer told me i got a good crossbow from them but that he had been geting alot of warranty work from the new ones. Guess its like anything else you get good ones and bad ones but i do enjoy shooting mine.

Amazing crossbows these things. I do need to say though about arrow and bolt weight it spends on the crossbow it really does. You need to test your crossbow to see what it likes. Example i shot 350-650 grains anything under 500 was horrible it was hard and violent shooting. Even 460 was too hard. 500 its starts smoothing out. 600 it’s diminishing returns 565 plus minus 3 is my sweet spot. But you don’t know this unless you shoot different weights. I would never go less than 560 on an excal. These compound crossbows they can handle lighter for sure and even like that KI is around that 400 grain mark. Every crossbow is different.

If you film with an Iphone, you can tap the screen where it projects on the ground in front of the target to get good video of the arrow flight. If basically focuses the camera in between you and the target instead of focusing on you, or focusing on the target. Mine will film 4k at 60 frames so it will give you some zoom capability as well. 1080 at 120 frames works pretty good at slo mo out to 20 yards, but doesn't have much zoom option without degrading the sharpness of the video.
@Deathbybunjie
Жыл бұрын
I'm using an s22, still figuring out the camera. It's funny, in the backyard, I have a 10x Zoom that is as crisp and clear as you can possibly imagine! Very impressive. But it seems like if you start wide and then zoom in it degrades pretty fast, almost like it doesn't switch over to that other camera. However, I sold my dslr, can you believe that? @Deathbybunjie
2 ай бұрын
In my experience with it it shot pretty solid in 20 yd and not too bad out to 40. The problem with it was, from what I've heard, that it has a composite rail, and crossbows like that oftentimes change point of impact depending on the heat and temperature. What I mean by that is as the crossbows temperature changes from day to day it could affect accuracy. I didn't personally see that happen but I can tell you it's a problem that I hear about with a lot of crossbows in that price range. But if you have one now the shooting that while at 20 yards you're probably good to go! There could have been some simple problem with the other one that wasn't related to that.

Lol sometimes that's true but don't forget, the Original Bunjie was the cheapest Excalibur they had in 2010, only $550 for the whole package...and it's still going strong, going on 14 seasons! So, there are some gems out there.

Yeah you're right Rick Bungie was the cheapest crossbow at that time but there's just one thing about that crossbow I believe it was made in Canada not China

Crossguns are for diasbled and elderly hunters ,or to get novice youth into the woods. Theres a reason 27 of 50 states have strict regulations on crossguns outside of regular archery season.

@adamballinger Remember an important rule in life. One man’s opinion may be important, but is not conclusive. Too bad this doesn’t even qualify as important.

@adamballinger1358 I am a compound hunter, but I have nothing against crossbows. Why does it matter to you what others chose to hunt with? I like building my knowledge on them for when my son is old enough to hunt with one

This is the second time I’ve seen you guys shoot out of that garage. Makes me cringe. You have zero peripheral. Unlikely anyone will step out if you know who’s in the vicinity. But still really dumb, no? This is an easy safety issue to rectify, just move forward (out of garage) but still in its shade.

This was all the same event. There was another double door on the side that's wide open, and windows, too. I really didn't have concerns.
