You must try Dr Bronner's Sal Suds. I switched to Sal Suds for general cleaning/laundry and I never looked back. The product is so versatile! Lisa Bronner has a sal suds cheat sheet as a general guideline on her blog.

Hi Jeni- Sal Suds is a great household cleaner and worth a try - although I may be biased! If you head over to my blog, you'll find more content about Sal Suds and Castile and living green in general. LisaBronner.com

@@GoingGreenwithLisaBronner Hello! Would you recommend this for use on Merino wool?
@GoingGreenwithLisaBronner

@@AA-lc6yi Hi Robert- As long as the label says is can be washed, then a mild dilution of Sal Suds or Castile is a good option. Whichever you use, hand wash is the best way to go. Wool changes size and shape so easily.

Lisa Dear, You are my new heroine. Thank you for bringing charm and humor to your very informative videos! I've loved Dr. Bronner's products for (gulp!) DECADES!!! But I must take issue with your saying that if a label says "Dry Clean Only," that is the only path to take. I am also a great advocate of wool, and it is actually disadvantageous to dry-clean wool. A quick trip through water and some Dr. Bronner's castile will be far better for your lovely woolens. And this will actually make them softer, due to something called "bloom" which often happens when wool is washed with a friendly product. The wool actually softens and puffs up a bit. Thank you so much for all you do, and BTW, you look phenomenal in a beret! Regards, DrKnitNurse

I turned to a non toxic lifestyle 2 years ago. I bought a Mulberry silk scarf. I didn't know about toxic chemicals and dry cleaning earlier and got it dry cleaned once in laundromat. As now I am aware about these nasty chemicals, I got that scarf out to use it, and then it strikes to me and I don't feel like using it. I am going to wash it with Castile soap before using it now.but my question is does fiber gets detoxify over a time from these chemicals?

Hi there - If you wash the scarf and then air-dry it, you will remove the vast majority of residues on it.

Can we add just a small amount vinegar with Sal suds? I’d like to keep a lingering pine smell.
@GoingGreenwithLisaBronner
7 ай бұрын
Hi there- Vinegar does not react with Sal Suds as it does with Castile Soap. However, we recently did effectiveness testing on this one, and Sal Suds mixed with vinegar is less effective at cleaning than Sal Suds alone. You can boost the Sal Suds pine scent though by adding a few drops of Siberian Fir and/or White Spruce essential oils.

Hi Ana- If the washing instructions indicate dry clean only, that's the best method. Manufacturers know their materials and products best.

can you use dr.bronner’s to wash microfibre cloth?
@GoingGreenwithLisaBronner
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ann- I use it to wash my microfiber cloths every week. If using Castile Soap in hard water conditions, be sure to use 1 cup vinegar (1/2 cup for an HE machine) in the rinse cycle to keep fabrics soft and absorbent.

2 жыл бұрын
@@jahrenna-kaylowe3068 Hi Jahrenna- Use 1/2 cup Castile Soap in a standard washer or 1/4 cup in an HE machine. Add the vinegar to the fabric softener compartment so it dispenses in the rinse cycle. You can also check out my laundry video on my KZitem page or my blog, LisaBronner.com.
