I rode here in February 2022, when I was in the US to attend the Instructor Trainer Conference of the BICP - so, YES, this is an older video! This is a RE-UPLOAD as I deleted this video in June 2023 due to a glitch in my app 🫣 Work with me to ride trails like this one with CONFIDENCE and CONTROL, too: roxybike.podia.com/mountain-bike-online-courses Here's a timeline: 0:00 - Why I'm excited to ride Hangover Trail? 0:39 - Tip for parking 0:55 - What am I taking along in my backpack? 1:20 - The uphill part to the trail 1:42 - Entry to Cowpies Trail 2:28 - Entering Hangover Trail 4:10 - Using nose pivot turn to smoothen out the trail 5:12 - Double Nose Pivot Turn on tight switchback at the entry of the second downhill section 5:31 - Off camber looooong and mainly uphill 7:55 - Starting to ride mainly donwhill from here 8:17 - Riding into the first suuuuper steep section 8:52 - Why NOT to ride this trail if you have a fear of heights 9:20 - The arrowheads on Hangover Trail 10:00 - Cowboy Killers 10:43 - Approaching the steepest section of Hangover Trail (note the hikers!) 11:30 - Riding into the steepest (almost VERTICAL) section 12:00 - Steep section to tight turn 12:37 - Trackwalk & Demo of the last steep, chunky section 13:10 - Last super techy section 13:24 - Into Munds Wagon Trail 17:07 - Did we ride ALL of the trail?? A note of caution!

Wow that is so impressive! I have bought most of your courses. Truly impressive especially the stoppie pivot turn right before a drop off from a roll down. Wow!

Thank you Mindy. You can get there, too! Practice with my courses and you'll get there! Also, I don't know if you've seen my new program with live webinars starting on March 15th? I'd love to see you there and most of all: I'd love to hear about you riding this trail (or another one, that currently seems out of your reach) one day. Much love, Roxy

Truly a fun trail, especially the start of hangover, and the fun rock section after the exposure...the exposure is fun, but either side of the exposure are more interesting and challenging. Question, what's with the big backpack? Camera equipment? Fun video, solid skills, line choices(sticking to the main trail), breakdown, and advice. This would be great for any first timer or someone looking to ride it with more confidence.

Thanks. I talk about the backpack in the beginning 😊 This was our first time riding the trail, as I also say and my first day after a 48 hour journey from Europe due to delays in Dallas 😊

Good job! Coming down that wall is no joke. The steepness still gets me. BTW, 4x4 is pronounced, "4 by 4" not "4 times 4". That would be 16 😁

I rode hangover in the other direction in 2013. It was new at the time, so we did not know any better. After we passed our bikes up the steeps, I enjoyed it. I do not think I would’ve liked it in the ‘proper’ direction. Sometimes fortune favors the ignorant.😂

I haven’t riden that one yet even though it’s an 1.5 hour drive away, but I hope to in the next year or so. The areas where you were exposed are vertigo inducing! I pull cactus needles out of my hands and legs occasionally around here! Don’t mind the re upload!

Would you even consider riding it on a hardtail?
@Roxybike_Ride.and.Inspire

Honestly, I would 😊 - as it’s not a trail you „have“ to ride quickly. But it really depends on the skill level of the rider. 😊😊

Thx for the reply. I’m a Hardtail lover and have often wondered. Located in Michigan and mainly ride in the Midwest. No trails here like in AZ. The challenge is intriguing
