Cliff has said on stage several times over the years when referring to Hank........"He makes his guitar talk". How true that is. That first Fender Stratocaster Cliff bought for Hank to play in 1959, was the wisest choice he ever made. Hank developed a style few have managed to emulate & for me, it has been a wonderful journey following Hank's progression & success ❤

Was'nt it "He makes his guitar sing"? Anyway both is true, sing and talk. 😉🎸

I have an old VHS from the 1980's here in Alberta. Cliff says "talk" while Hank is playing an awesome riff & smiling at Cliff. I'll have to get this transcribed one day onto a DVD 😊

I am so with you on this. It invokes so much emotion, and isn’t this what music, real music, is about. If you can make someone cry, smile or laugh, you have done your job, and Hank does that in every one of his songs. I’m 78, almost caught up to you. 😊

Hank Marvin's guitar haunts me in solitary moments and moments of gloom.... since I was heard him in 1983. He continues to dazzles me. The greatest of all guitarist.

This is what makes Hank Marvin the incredible guitar player he is. It’s not about how much distortion and noise players use today, but heart, and he puts it all into his playing and in particular, this song. You are a master, Hank.

This would have been amazing for a night time scene or an emotional scene where the hero or the heroine of the story is feeling let down and the mystery girl in the story wants them to have a second try and to keep trying to defeat the enemy and never give up until the win is theirs to take. Hank really knows the music people like.

As talented as Hank was, I would have loved it if he had spread his guitar work across different styles much like Mark Knopfler does.
