I inherited this 45 rpm vinyl of Hank Williams Jr. singing "Working With Men" and I could not find it online, so I wanted to upload it for you to enjoy. The lyrics are by Frank Haller. It came from Kentucky and recorded exclusively for Consolidation Coal as part of the Zero Accidents Campaign. I guess they really did not want any accidents.
Lyrics:
This is Hank Williams Jr. this song was recorded exclusively for Consolidation Coal Miners as part of the zero accidents campaign
This is Hank Williams Jr. with a song just for you
When you go to work in the mine, my friend
There's one thing you can be sure about
You're going to work hard like everyone there
And you better not have any doubts
It's all man-sized work that can take it's toll
If you don't watch your step all the way
You've got to play to safe when you rip out coal
To see the light of another day

Like men in a war, miners know the score
The mark of a man they can tell
No room for the wise guy who likes to take chances
and kill better men than himself
No time for a man who can't look around him
and know he's part of a team
Get away from a guy who says he fears nothing
You might end up under timbers and beams
There's only room for men in the mine
The kids and the games can stay home
The work's hard enough without worrying about some guy you can't count on
There's only room for men in the mine
The kids and the games can stay home
This is Hank Williams Jr. reminding you that mining is serious work, so take it serious.
