Your Cheatin' Heart was the song that first got me hooked on Country Music way back in the fifties. I fell in love with Hank's songs way back then and I still love them after all these years. I can't think of another singer that puts as much feeling into their songs as Hank did. No matter how many times I listen to some of his sad songs, they still bring a tear to my eye.

❤😢So Very True...😔 I was Born In The Late 50's. I Grew Up On Country Music. My Mama Loved Hank Williams Song And Music. Daddy Did Too. My Grandma Who Was Blind Due To A Failed Cateract Surgery. She Played in the Silent Movies in the 20's and 30's, As She Was Born in 1901. She Played Hank Williams Song And Music On The Piano, So Beautifully. She Could Play Anything From Boogie Woogie, Country To The Classics. She Loved " I SAW THE LIGHT". Like No Other. I Started Playing Or Picking With One Finger around 4 to 6 yrs old. I Learned to play with notes starting around 10 yrs old. My Mama Could Play Only By Music Sheets or the Hymnals. One more thing, My Grandmother played " I SO LONESOME I COULD CRY". Now in my mid 60's. I can only IMAGINE, HOW SHE FELT...😢 As She Lived With My Mama and Daddy and Brothers, and Her Mama, my Great Grandma...My Cousins And Her Sons. Three of Them, Never Came to See Her or Even Called on the Phone. Unless They wanted Something. To Baby Sit There Children. Or come and got her to help shell Peas, Butter Beans, Even to shuck corn. They didn't want to be BOTHERED BECAUSE SHE WAS BLIND. WE shared a Room , A Bed, together from the time I came out of my Baby Bed. There Were Many nights, She Cried Herself To Sleep. Thwy Didn't Care. 😥 My Cousins would come, when it was their Birthday. Grandma, What Cha Going To Give Me. She Got $32.00/ Month SS.That was it. She might give a Dollar, or some change. Then Soon as she did. IT WAS SEE YA!!! Not even a Hug or Thank You. Mama Daddy, my Brothers and I Took Care of Her All The Time. She Could Do Alot, even Though she was Blind . But Many Nights, She Cried Herself To Sleep. She Passed When I was 16 yrs Old. I Wish She Had of Lived Longer. But She Suffered With Diabetes and CHF. Thar's What got Her. Grandpa passed in Oct of 1949 at the age of 49 yrs. I Miss Her As I Do Mama. Daddy and One Brother. My Husband passed after only 8 yrs of Marriage in 1993. They Are All Together As We Will Be One Day. But I'll Never Forget Granny, Playing Hanks Song and Music and sometimes she'd Sing too. But Thinking Back , She Lived Hank's Music. I Imagine, She's Met Him by Now. It was 1974, when She passed at 73... Sorry I Rambled On So...😏😔🤲🤲🤲I'll be OKAY. I Use to read the Bible For Granny Too At Night , Before We Slumbered For The Night. God Bless Everyone. Have a Blessed Friday Evening and Blessings For The Weekend. HE's Singing " If You Love Me Half Much As I Love You "...❤😇✝️☦🛐💐🌺💖 🐾🐾🐶BEAR 🐾🐾🐶ROSE 🐴HOOTIE 🐴GRACE 🐴TAFFY💛⚘🌹💞

Think that ten inch record is called the immortal Hank Williams, I bought it also in 1960 and still have it,and memorise every song on it but stiff fingers stopped me from playing guitar anymore .

A bar I used to drink at back in my younger days had the same band every Saturday night for years and years. A girl headed the band and always liked me as I used to shoot at the same Gun Club as her. She knew I always LOVED this song so anytime I was out bar hopping on a Saturday night and stopped into that bar regardless of the time, they'd finish the song they were playing and immediately go right into Mansion On the Hill! I'd turn around and look her way and smile in appreciation and she'd look back smiling as if to say " I remembered" !!

Nice playlist. A bit of static and a few glitches, but that just makes it feel more like the early fifties when we'd hear Hank on an old unreliable radio. Nice memories.

Anyone who partied with Hank would have to be at least 85-90 yrs old now as Hank would have been 100 this year. So to find someone who was lucky enough to have met Hank who actually use the internet at 90 is like drilling for oil in times square not very likely I'd say. If there are more than a handful still alive who knew Hank I'd be suprised. 20 yrs ago sure there were many but in 2023 very few left. Don Helms one of his band members made lots of recording talking about Hank and what he was like, there on YT I've heard them.
