Thank you Hans Mattson for bringing out the truth. Have been a member in the mormonchurch for over 20 years and I have been so depressed and filled with guilt and fear almost every day until Jesus took me out from this cult. And now I have peace!

@OTTO OCTAVIOUS The term Governing Body is used in Corporations, it's never mentioned in the bible, so this should set off some alarm bells!.. It's a business term only! All CULTS are run by a charismatic leader/s...and you cannot question them since they "speak for" god. This is a telltale sign to look out for. Also they will NEVER help you in times of need,..ie financially, materially. You will always have to give your all. Always remember, what don't feed you will feed off you! #FACTS

@OTTO OCTAVIOUS The WT / Governing Body Members are CON ARTISTS!! They claim they're not perfect, but please! please! don't... 1. Question them.... 2. Doubt them........... 3. Challenge them... 4. Debate them.... Because you will lose everything!! 1. Your family 2. Your friends 3. Your job (If you work for a "Brother") 4. Your Life (In some cases) The (8) sinful UNinspired men live in denial thinking they can lead many to the promise land of "paradise" Since the bible is inspired and they are not, this makes it very difficult to follow their admonition to.. Listen, Obey and be Blessed!

I was born and raised in the “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Nothing was more important than the Church. First is God, second the Church, third spouse and family. If I were to choose not to follow the rules and laws, (commonly know as latter day prophecy in which allows the church to change policy in their teachings) I was just flat out wrong in their eyes. To have “family” gang up against me for loosing my “faith” is just sad. Since childhood, there has been so much “fear” placed upon me as a member of the church. Fear of being sent to Hell for not living the “gospel” principles. After being born into an “LDS” Family, I was “blessed” and given my name by my father. This is what I would be known by on the “records” of the church. In that blessing many things were pronounced upon me. Like, I would grow and develop a testimony that the “church” was the only “true” church upon the face of this earth. That Joseph Smith was the prophet of God. That I would be baptized at 8 and become a full member of the gospel. (Which I did) They told me that “I was making the choice to be baptized”. That would be the 1st “hook” into their gasp of me Around the age of 12, I was “privileged “ to be baptized for the dead in the Churches Temple as their proxy. But before that could happen I met with the leader of the “ward”, (a group of members in the same area), or more commonly known as the Bishop. At that time I was pressured to tell any wrong doings to him. Alone just me and him. Kind of like confession. I feared the Bishop as he had the right to tell me whether or not I was “worthy” to go. Now, at the age of 8 being baptized, I was put under water once. For the dead though I was dunked approximately 25 times. This was supposed to make me feel the spiritual side or the sacredness of the Temple. Not as the world said a “secret”. It was just weird. Around the age of 16 I was taken to the “Patriarch” for a “Patriarchal Blessing”. He told me through the laying on of hands”, how my earthly life would continue on as long as I was worthy. I was told many things such as I would meet and marry an honorable man whom had served a full time mission for the Church. That he would take me to the house of the Lord or Temple, to be married and sealed for time and all eternity. That I would become a mother in Zion and bear children. That I would serve the woman of the ward,....and on and on As a young adult, I was diligent in my church. I went to Seminary for 4 years in the wee hours of the morning during my 9th-12th grade. I attended Brigham Young University and met my Husband. I was married in the Salt Lake Temple. Once again I went to the temple to take out my endowments, (or promises) and to be married and sealed to him. The ordinances done there in the Temple were literally scary. The cult behavior inside is extreme. Doing chants, certain signs and symbols. Wearing ropes of white, a green leaf apron to cover my “nakedness” before the sight of God. A veil to cover my face during a ritualistic prayer. But being promised if I did this I would have that “forever family”,.....I went along with it. During my marriage I gave birth to 7 children. After years of sexual and mental abuse myself, I found out my children were being sexually and physically abused by my husbands nephew. The torment that I went through was hell itself! But when I found out about my children’s abuse, I was furious!! I attended a court of law after my Bishop counseled me to forgive and forget. My son and I were threatened by my father-in-law and his Grandfather, to be silent for their “name” could not be tarnished. In the court of law my son and I sat alone on the opposite side that his father and his family sat on. Just before entering court, my son, his father and I were approached by the grandfather. His statement was to his son, (my husband and father of my son), “you have a lot to lose”. At that time my son and I were told by my husband, “I have to be there for my sister and my family.” I said, “we are your family”. At that point, I knew we were alone. My divorce was hell. My children’s father married his fathers secretary. She was later given title of Secretary to the prophet. The LDS Church has destroyed my family. From private investigators to Bishops, my family has been torn apart. They have pitted myself and my children against each other. Saying “choose wisely”. The fear instilled from the church keeps them from choosing reality. It’s faith instead of facts. Church over family. Abandonment. Fear of losing everything and everyone because all that’s known IS the Church. Continued harassment from church leaders and members of the family that still are in the church is never ending. Loss is great. Loss is evident. Loss became reality. Not only have I lost my married family but now my birth family. Our belongings have been taken. Our finances stopped. Help is an under statement.

My ex wife stopped loving me because I left the church. She ended up getting with her ex boyfriend from high school and would talk to him and go to the temple with him while we were married. They did this just as "friends" and didn't tell me about it. She divorced me and remarried him in the temple 3 months after our divorce. The church is so supportive and wanting of families, but they don't really care. It's about the image of truth, not the real truth.

Helen E It's because Mormonism becomes their ENTIRE life. They don't just go to church on Sundays, they spend every single day doing something for the church. They keep their members very busy with works so they have no time for true worship with God and finding truth. It is literally every part of who they are and leaving is traumatic and extremely difficult and heartbreaking and that is putting it lightly. It's worse than divorce and probably even someone you love dying. So they have these conferences for those who left to come together and find others who also experienced the devastation of finding out truth and the pains of leaving and having their families basically disown them. This way they can find love and peace through hearing others experiences. It is healing.

That's a sweet thought. However one can just click on my name, view that first video of my liked videos. A video one will then surely see that has thoroughly, soundly debunked all those anti-Book of Abraham videos from the anti-Mormon crowd. Thereby debunking all anti-Mormonism along the way in the process too. As only would the anti-Mormons, like is the case, bank on false assumptions as how that the translation of the Book of Abraham was to be interpreted. Interpreted not the way that the anti-Book of Abraham videos are showing people. Therefore this is testament of the fact that the anti-Mormons were never interested in the truth anyway. Not even one anti-Mormon has apologized for that anti-Book of Abraham nonsense though. Therefore it's a sweet thought on what you said, but I am afraid that these anti-Mormons are not good people.

I pity these people. They say they’ve found the “truth” and instead of moving forward they still linger and continue to live their lives around the mormons. They even call themselves ex-mormons. If you’re really free, then move on. And please don’t say that you’re here helping others. You just want to get attention using the mormon name, even if it means to call yourselves ex-mormon. Bunch of weak people with huge egos. Still sheep but lost or following blind shepherds.

Simply being a member of the church is a far cry from being a Latter-day Saint, No testimony of Joseph Smith and the book of Mormon by confirmation is a tortuous pathway without a handrail There will be mockers in the last days, unfortunately, the Mattsons have failed in testimony, they wavered ( James 1:7, therefore, received nothing of the Lord (then slipped in the evil one) by not putting to the test as Joseph Smith did James 1:5, for he by being honest of heart and faithful of spirit toward the word of God received direct counsel of the Lord as the Matterson and all members if honest are entitled. James 1:26, when did the holy ghost depart and why!, Mathew 24:12-13 There is no rejoicing when iniquity abounds, therefore, endurance cannot exist. The problem with a growing number of members is they want all the answers given to them by men even prophets, priests, and Kings when it is their right to receive through the Holy Ghost (or have confirmed) all things in time and order. The great failure to understand Mosiah 3:19 is I believe the greatest stumbling block for many members in these the latter moments of the latter days, when the Lord sees fit to inflict us it is because we often seek beyond, but lack faith to be worthy of ( prematurely) knowing, therefore we are taught, but for some teaching becomes a chore due to ego, James 1:14 -15,17 variableness and turning was never happiness, James 1: 24, 27 I would say ( doing these things with an honest heart) past home teaching, fast offering, honest tithing, family home evening, temple and church attendance, genealogy, PPI'S, fasting, honest partaking of the sacrament (which governs repentance), scripture study (rest them at your peril) fulfilling ones callings with an honest heart (looking beyond the mark set out) have been the issue, do not these things with honesty and one will never receive greater intelligence but be left ever searching but never finding. Come back when you are able Hans, for it is only the teachable who will progress in this life and beyound
