Goosebumps.... Times when all were produced like masterpiece: movies, music, devices, books, food, even people were better.... Times when level of ART is almost unreachable and that was TRUE ART.

This AMAZING fictional story did shed some good light on the Samurai's presence at the time as well as even the influence they have on many modern day traditions- Honor, duty, Courage. This is Top 3 movies for me, and this would have been Nowhere Near as good w/Out Hans' Incredible Academy award winning soundtrack. It does for this movie what the Gladiator soundtrack did for that movie- Help Immensely by bringing the viewers Emotions deeply into the Great stories they are.

I listen to this music when in need of deep focus. Used to listen to this soundtrack endlessly when at the University. Now use it hunker down and engage in long bouts of intense focus toward some work pursuit. Nice to see that I’m not the only one out there using this soundtrack to good use.

Tom Cruises Opus Magnus in my opinion, the end of this movie brought such sadness and contempt, but also growth and redemption for Algrin and Katsumoto. In surviving Algrin could forgive himself his past demons, in his sacrifice Katsumoto delivered the strongest message he possibly could for the Emperor, though it took his life in the end he succeeded. beautiful, simple writing.

Your story is macabre 😅, but yes... But weren't we saying the same thing with Ennio Morricone? As I often say when a star dies, it's to create new ones.

Try Craig Armstrong, Patric Cassidy, Thomas Newman. They are fantastic composers and orchestrators. Definitely equals to Zimmer, and I believe, better.
