Standing up after a dwi nakbup, like they are doing, with crossed feet is really dumb. If somebody pushes you you are in trouble so the better thing to do is a tripod. Otherwise the roll/fall is pretty good

Very good..still very stiff need to relax loosen up....white guy has very good potential...he will be a great student if he continues... Spanish guy not so sure... didn't study hapkido.. I studied Japanese karate which I regret ..this hapkido style is far more advanced than karate. Wish I could go back in time...nice video 👍! Thank you.

My knee cap dislocated a year ago while practicing techniques. After, it happened again 3 times. Now I still have a white belt, and my exams are this friday. I'm so scared it will happen while everyone is staring at me, because it hurts really bad and looks disturbing. Fingers crossed

Hi, i've been doing Ju Jitsu since last June. I'm moving counties from Dorset to Wiltshire in the UK. There is a Hapkido club there and am seriously thinking of giving it a go. Does anyone think i'll have trouble adapting to a different system altogether?

The Lordly Phantasm i dont think so... I mean, i did subakdo for years, its mostly kicks, and i got well adapted to boxing in just 2 months... Before subak, i did "ninjutsu"(is basically judo + weapons and stealth) etc... As long as you try hard enough you will not have any problem...

The Lordly Phantasm those two styles are similar so I don’t think so.

@@nauraizsubhan01 Hi, has it really been that long? Unfortunately the club was closed before I got a chance to to train and I moved from my Jiu-Jitsu club's area. I did start to train in other martial arts though and Hapkido does not seem that popular over here in the UK. A shame really as I find martial arts are my go to way of keeping fit.

Why do hapkido practicioners sometimes use white and sometimes black doboks? Is there a meaning behind the color?
@Momsspaghetti777

gingercore69 i personally use a blue dobok. It’s just whatever the school provides or allows you to wear Some places have higher belts wear different colors but where I train they just care that you come dressed. They don’t care in what

Some Black Dude oh gods, i just imagined a naked grapling session and it was NOT a sexy one o.o I hope they let me use black, it might sound stupid but i have LOTS of good reason, like how it is easier to wash, less likely to get stains, etc...

gingercore69 lots of hapkido places don’t teach grappling, only grappling techniques. It’s not bad, it’s just it’s hard to apply grappling techniques without knowledge of grappling If you get started in hapkido I recommend you go to local BJJ open mats as well, you just pay a fee of maybe 5 dollars and they’ll let you find some training partners. They’ll help you learn how to apply the techniques you know and give you good resistance, and they’ll teach techniques you might not learn in hapkido as well as give a better understanding of the techniques you’re already taught

Some Black Dude ill give it a try, but there is only one bjj school in town and i think they dont do that kind of thing here... On the other hand, the hapkido school is "military style" so i think it will have grapling anyway... But sure, bjj would be a better choice for that... ñ_ñ
@Momsspaghetti777

gingercore69 they still might not have grappling sparring IE the rolling and all that, just grappling techniques. But it does sound like it’s more likely. Open mats are pretty common, I do recommend you ask about open mats
