My man! , This would be the greatest movement I've ever seen during your visit to Sri Lanka. A lady said that she was really glad to see a person like you, and she introduced you as 'Our one.' It seems like these people have a lot of thoughts that can't be translated. A thousand likes from the bottom of my heart as a Sri lankan.
That is so fantastic to see our African descendants in Sri Lanka in joyful moment. They must be close to the sea coast. It's really wonderful of you to visit our African brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka.

Imani, Instead of the places that most tourists always show, showing the world unexplored areas and I appreciate your friendliness. ❤ Bohoma Isthuthi. 🇱🇰
Amazing video, love you work. These guy were bought to SL from the east coast of Africa by the Portugese as slaves perhaps. A community that needs a lot of recognition. They sing in a sorta creole, but I can not understand what they are saying, but I hear a smattering of portugese and some sinhala words and unrecognizeable words. I hope this community will get more official recognition in SL. I believe the baila music of SL originated from this community. You can tell from the 6/8 rytham!. The mother was so genuinely happy to see you. Such a wholesome interaciton!

in sri lanka the people get discriminated is just uneducated people, if you educate yrself (gvmnt give 100% free education from grade 1 until you finish yr higher education in universities to all lankans ,also 100% free healthcare for every citizen too)so you just have to learn free and getting out of poverty , the problem is village people are not competitive in learning as the kids in cities and urban areas many rural lankan parents let their kids to do anything they want but in urban areas and cities parents dont let their kids stay without learn , make time schedules for them (basically control the kids as they want until they get succeeded) so villegers being poorer while others being richer ,@@thia48

The legend has it that one great king who ruled the country during 1600s had a battalion of African soldiers who escaped from the European invaders. Those Africans were appointed as high ranking officers and were loved by the king. And they helped Sinhalese to fight off the invaders and earned the respect and love from the natives.

In future you should marry a young Sri Lankan-African girl and settle down because Sri Lankan-African identity is fading away in the present day.
portuguese brought africans to sri lanka as soilders or slaves, portuguese used african soilders to fight thier wars against sinhalese kings, but portuguese got defeated, portuguese only ruled some costal areas due to thier naval power, they lost almost every land battles they fought against sinhalese, When king Rajasinha 2 defeated portuguese and drove them out from lanka, he liberated these africans from slavery because he didnt see anyone or any race as slaves like portuguese did, so he let the africans to live in the kingdom as normal lankans, thats show how good sinhalese kings at that time

I pray that one day the African Diaspora will support and care for our people all over the world, with whatever they need. I pray we will solve the problem of our people being the poorest in every country where we find them, that we never knew they were there. God bring justice and freedom to your original people. ameen.

Sri Lanka is a multi cultural island that is multi racial, multi lingual and multi religious. It has been that way for many years. Everyone now lives together in harmony. One island, one nation. United we stand. Divided we fall. WE DO NOT WANT TO DIVIDE THE COUNTRY. It will always be one island for everyone. If you don't like that then you should leave Sri Lanka. We don't war again or stupid politics and idiotic ideas to split the country.
