I love the song Happy Jack, but I really watch this video to see Keith Moon’s drumming.

Indeed. Keith Moon is a phenomena. One of the greatest and most charismatic drummers. It's very rare that a drummer takes center stage like Keith. You just couldn't take your eyes off of him.

This is one of the best songs The Who made. This song showed what a great drummer Keith Moon was. Perhaps this was Keith’s favorite song they played. Keith will forever be the best one to ever play it.

On this day in 1967 {March 11th} the Who performed "Happy Jack" on the West Germany TV program 'The Beat Club'... One month later on April 15th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #24 and spent 9 weeks on the Top 100... It reached #3 in the United Kingdom... The 'Beat Club' performance was taped at the Marquee-Club in London, England... R.I.P. Drummer Keith Moon {1946 - 1978) and bassist John Entwistle {1944 - 2002}...

So much disagreement on that 4th line (many claim it's "So they rode on his head and they hurried on Quay" or "So they rode on ahead and they hurried on Quay), but here he enunciates it very clearly and he's definitely singing "So they rode on his head in their furry donkey."
