How exciting that you're coming to Laos this year. You've picked the right time as well, not too hot and not too rainy. I am not sure if I'll be around during your visit, but if I'm in town I'd be delighted to catch up for a coffee. Do let me know if you need anything at all.

Thanks. Interesting to note most of the monks still have lots of hair. In Burma, all hair is shaved off

I just came to learn that Laotians were originally from Yunnan. Are there any remnats there of the original Laotian cultures? Anything you could investigate perhaps?
@natnomad

Not that I knew. Many believed that the Khmu are the indigenous to Laos as there are no traces or evidence where exactly they came from and when.
@marcusmaunula5018

@@natnomad Apparently that is a claim on the Laos page but I didn't check the sources. Maybe you can go there and investigate :D. I used to think it was conneted to the famous philosopher Lao Tse but that was incorrect. Although I think there is heavy cross-influence to Buddhism.

That is not Lao sasquatch, that is Lao Adam and Eve, or Pooh Yeur and Yah Yuer. They are said to be the grand parent that came down from the mountain.
