Great video once again Tidgney, the settings in daily race B, however, is actually NOT the same as the one we had before. The straight after the end of 130R is actually tailwind with 2.0 m/s, which is not the same as the one before. But i dont think that makes a huge difference overall, apart from the fact that its gonna be harder to slow down the car at that place, great video as usual and thanks for ur guide!! Happy new year Tidgney 😊

Great guide. Thanks Tidgney. I've spent all day practicing Suzuka and the best I can get is 2:04. I swear I'm doing the same as you here. I'm losing speed somewhere. I've got all assists off. Maybe it's just because I'm using a controller. Still, this game can be very frustrating.
@tidgney

It can be very frustrating sometimes when shaving off lap time. If you're struggling in the future, check out my sector times and see which one is the largest in gap then on each corner in that sector look at apex speed and exit speed (use the kerb on exit) and this should help identify the problem and also help you solve to!

these guides are marvellous but can you publish the uninterrupted lap guides? i miss being able to watch on board laps from the qualifying sessions from gt7. but being able to watch the full lap from you with no interruptions would be epic, one can only ask!
@tidgney

Appreciate the kind words! It's all good asking 😊. So just to check so I understand right, you want a youtube video of just the lap no interruptions? Not in game replay etc.

@@tidgney i watch your lap guides to learn the tracks but i find the pauses where you detail the braking points really throw me off learning the flow of the lap , in gt sport i could take the top qualifier lap and just watch that with all the onscreen data in order to crib and copy and get faster, i was able to reach A driver class in gtsport doing this but now i bounce between B and C getting rammed off every other race by activite drole . For me its the worst thing about gt7 that i cant just watch onboard replays of faster drivers to see the detail and flow and where they shift and trail brake like i could in gtsport. You could also do a video on that activite drole guy, hes the number 1 dirty driving villain down amongst us slower players. Hes pretty fast but it gets to the point where you dont want to pass him cos he will just get salty and punt you off. But if you know anyone quick who wants viewers or would want to upload full clean , uninterrupted onboard lap guides for the dailies i would be an avid viewer of that content. Thanks for the reply in any case!

@@tidgney i dont thiink you can, just ghosts on the new game , or so i thiught...i hope im wrong. I might be approaching it the wrong way ,if theres a way to get tonthe leaderboards without entering the qualis to qualify and race... It was certainly possible on gt sport.

Hey Tidgney, will it be massive more work zu put a synchronized picture of Chase cam in your Lap Guides? Me and maybe lots other people use the chase cam (break markers are bit different). And additionally it shows great how you set the car through the corners. Just an idea to make your great videos even some % better.
@tidgney
8 ай бұрын
Yoooo Slammer! Appreciate the feedback. So chase cam will be shown in the time trial guide in the future, but probably not the weekly race guide. Just been thinking as I've been writing this of ways it could work. I may have a play with ideas going forward to see what I can do (Overlaying/Seeing both), but thinking it may be difficult. Only thing I can think of is having chase cam in the top right, but I don't think that would be that helpful?
@RTR_SLAMMER
8 ай бұрын
@@tidgney Hey, I think just try it out for yourself it it is possible to make it like "big enough". The top right ist free most of the time, sometimes there might be brake markers. Then you could let the chase cam overlay disappear. Or maybe the mirror is a good overlay position as no one needs it in a race guide and no brake marker will be highlighted in the top middle of the screen. 🙂

Interesting how you use the accelerator. You seem to pump it sometimes during corners. Could you tell more about this technique? I'm curious if it's for stability, maintaining minimum corner speed or something else.
@tidgney
8 ай бұрын
Great question! So the lift and back on with the accelerator is to do with understeer. With Gran Turismo having such extreme weight transitions a small period of not 100% throttle will give you so much extra turn in it's incredible, so slight on and off can be very impactful.

On the hairpin in Japan, how much time would you lose if you short shifted to 2nd? Might be worth the time loss ?
@tidgney

Shortshifting out of any hairpin is very common and you don't lose to much vs a massive oversteer moment
