I use a blank bound book for my “talking with God” journal (prayer). I’ve done that for years. Then I use my Happy Planner monthly pages to journal blessings, special moments & gratitude specific to each day & at the end of the month print a picture collage to snap into that month for memory keeping 🥰. It is so fun to go back through these periodically & relive those positive things 💕

Thanks for sharing Cay. Do you create a picture collage and then print it out, or print multiple pictures and then make a collage? It sounds like a great way to memory keep and gratitude journal combined!

@@ThePlannerChannel I print the collage 8x10 from Walgreens & then cut them out to fit on front & back of scrapbook paper that will fit into a Happy Planner sticker holder snap in page ☺️

I like the pretty teal color of your journal and the pink ink. I've only done a brain dump; I haven't started writing on any topics yet. Great video!!🤗

Thanks so much! I like to use different ink colors when journaling and black on my regular planner.

I have se a dashboard style planner for a journal. It keeps it short and concise; a lot more focused than a blank sheet of paper. I also use guided journals when going through stressful times to get things off my plate.

Hi Ericka, dashboard works great, too! Have you seen these Ink + Volt guided journals? kzitem.info/news/bejne/2KKqvaKkrqV7rY4

Have been hit or miss with journaling but preparing a happy planner Be Grateful journal to get started on gratitude again. I like there is room to write more than just a word or two and that is is undated. I may have more to reflect on some days than others.

That's great, Diana! I have a few of the guided journals but haven't really gotten into them. Perhaps something to start in 2021.

@@ThePlannerChannel I have a couple of guided journals which are great but I found I wasn’t always in the “mood” to write about the prompt fir the day. So a blank one I think will work better for me. I just need to get in a groove and keep going!

It comes in a pack with the Journaling Stencils. It’s on the HP website but it’s marked as sold out. Hobby Lobby has it though.

I disagree with your caution about journaling about things that are stressful or causing anxiety. I’ve found that it can be helpful to journal those things onto paper as a way to release and let it go. There’s nothing wrong with having a day where you feel like just dumping all your negative feelings on paper. Just speaking from experience as someone who has been journaling for over 20 years.

Absolutely agree!! It does help to get it out by journaling. My caution is to not take it so far as creating negativity with your journaling. So it depends on your intention. If your intention is to get it all out, do it! If your intention is to create a habit of positivity, do it! For myself, I tend towards dumping boatloads of negativity, so I have to keep myself on track by intentionally looking for the silver lining.
