I saw the show last year. It was great seeing The Turtles, The Cowsills, The Classics Four and my favorite group, The Association. However, I wish that these wonderful groups could play some other of their songs at The Happy Together Concert Show. For example, The Association always seems to play “Windy,” “Never My Love,” Cherish” and they finish with the stirring “Along Comes Mary.” I’d like to hear them perform some other of their great songs like “Dubuque Blues,” “Requiem for the Masses” and “Goodbye, Columbus.” Similarly, Professor Mark Volman of The Turtles always seems to perform “You Baby,” “You Showed Me,” “Elenore,@ “She’d Rather Be With Me” snd, of course, “Happy Together.” I’d like to see The Turtles perform some of their other sings, like “The Battle of the Bands,” “A Guide for the Married Man” and “Outside Chance.”

In June of 2023, Mark Volman of the Turtles disclosed that he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. At one point, when I saw them in July, Mark tried to introduce the band and was getting confused. Some band member shockingly said, "Can't we get someone else to do this ?". In this clip, a month later, you can see that Ron Dante is really caring for Mark. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last we see of Mark on stage.

A great finale, plenty of ORIGINAL talent. Please 🙏🏽 no one misunderstand me with what I’m about to write. It’s an insult to everyone on that stage regarding the three individuals wearing purple shirts, calling themselves The Vogues and not one ☝️ original member in that threesome. Great channel you have and just subscribed.

In all fairness to them. They traveled with two originals for many years .Hugh retired , and sadly Bill passed away. That's a sad reality with many of these touring bands . We're getting old . Neither one of the Classics 4 were original either.

Gary Puckett was a member of our church's worship team one season back in 2004 when he lived in Rancho Bernardo, CA. He sang a medley of Union Gap favorites one night, and the pastor's secretary asked him to leave "Young Girl", "Woman, Have You Got Cheating On Your Mind," and "Lady Willpower" OFF the line-up due to the lyrics about extramarital affairs, underage girls and passionate lovemaking ", but he got mixed up thinking they were requests instead of songs NOT to sing. Gotta say, that was one evening of cringe none of us will ever forget. Gary is a sweet guy, however. It was a comical misunderstanding and we didn't rub it in...too much.

@@robkenny100 I think it is in the sixties I saw most of the acts of the time including the Beatles twice but to me memories should remain just that and old picture you look at to remember times gone by, to see this people now stumbling on stage trying to sing their old music and butchering it , is really sad and they go only by name the original members aren’t there I saw Gerry marsden and it didn’t bring any joy because it wasn’t what I remembered I think he died shortly after that, have you seen Phil Collin singing on a chair, struggling to get his sound back, and walking away with the help of a cane that to me is really sad , to me if I want to remember I listen to the old records, watching all these has beens remind me that I too am a member of that club, and the music you hear them trying to sing now is not what you heard back then, and it only brings tears to my old eyes, don’t get me wrong with all think differently I’m only giving my opinion and if watching all these seniors trying to hang on bring people joy more power to them, I need help crossing the streets and I know it and when I try to do it on my own It’s really sad the only difference is that I know my limitations, maybe in a few more years you will think the same as I do, like Elvis once sang, memories written in the pages of our minds, how prophetic don’t you think? You stay safe my friend thank you for reading my rant,if you really want to hear old music search you tube and really find out how it used to be 🙏🏼👍🏼
