When cooking various dals or beans in a pressure cooker, I let it whistle once, and then I turn the heat down and cook on high pressure for a few minutes (actual time depends on what is being cooked). On the webpage I follow, they don't have sabut mung, but I am guessing I can use the time meant for French green lentils. I think they are roughly the same size and "hardness"...

If whole moong is soaked overnight then in cooker it will cook in 2 to 3 whistle. And if it is soaked for 1 or 2 hours then in cooker it will cook in 5 to 6 whistle

I love this dal. Usually I soak it overnight, then 2 to 3 whistles in cooker. I also use tomato to give it a sour taste. Have it with raw onions and some lemon juice.

I let the dal cook on slow fire for 15 ..to 20 mins after one whistle ...in the pressure cooker... I do not belong to the school...where whistles of the pressure cooker decides if the food is cooked or not...

Hello chef I thought in pressure cooker we have to do 2 whistle .Its sufficient after whistle we can sim the gas flame for 10 to 15 minutes and then the dal is ready
