As a 70 year old I find this inspirational. So much to learn. I very much want to develop a short swing that at least roughly approximates to one of these versions albeit not as good. Thanks for sharing 😊

Incredible efficiency and elegance. I don't think most skiers fully understand what they're looking at when they see turns like these.

I enjoy your videos and look forward to attending a clinic. you mention a brushed carved short turn. Does that mean there is a steering action of the ski then the edge engages vs a full edged carve through the entire arc?

We don't use or teach steering. The regulated movements of tipping and ordered leg and foot tipping create much higher levels of control and confidence for all turns.

You do not have to steer/pivot the skis to get them to turn without tracking along the edge (carving). When you use a low to moderate edge angle, with a bit more weight forward, the ski will naturally pivot/slide bit. The tails of the ski will "smear". So you can get the ski to steer, without using a pivoting force from your legs. In fact, back in the day, this was how all turns had to be started. You started the ski pivoting, then increased edge angles later in the turn to "set" the edge. Prior to 1994-95, if you just tilted the ski on edge...it would just go straight.
