Hi Mr. Lee, Nice re-engineering to correct the leveling problem. That solution should last a long time. Thanks for the video! -mike

done deflection test that size beam 1 over 10 feet . from the floor. I suspect the deflection is 1/2 " You could Dubula up the load. Good Job

Video of 90° HF hoist mount kzitem.info/news/bejne/mm1_0YiqqZilZ3o. It’s not difficult to solve the balance issue. But I like your solution too.

Great idea to level the hoist. If you had put a spacer between the inner bearing races you could have tightened the bolt to full torque without binding the bearings. Thanks for the great videos Lee!

Essentially, you made a dual trolley system anyway.

Had a feeling those bolts would cause allot of drama when trying to move that thing

Hi there Lee great trolley and winch adapting. This is a bit long winded but i feel I need to let you know With your beam the worst case would be at the tip out the front. this would test the anchor to the barn and your weld. Where I live the full test would be the WLL (working load limit) + 10% for the proof load, 600lb + 60lb = 660lbs P/L. The load is suspended for 10 min at the weakest point (beam end) then traveling the length of the beam. Another point is when the winch is at the end of the beam if you pickup say the 600lb the anchor on the barn could see loads around 1000lbs Hope this helps and just wanted to let you know. I used to do this in my job and don't want to see you hurt yourself or others

Adjustments and tweaking the design is part of the process...turned out great! That's going to be a very handy hoist !

Looks like a good setup. Glad to see you were not standing on a chair in this video. The older I get the fewer chances I take and you are fairly close to my age.

Nice work Lee, you will probably use this way more than you thought and it will make many things easier. When we used to commission a new crane or teat an old one, there is a deflection test, you hang a pleb bob near a scale and proceed to lift over capacity and measure deflection at that weight. We would see a surprisingly small deflection on a good structure. Enjoyed, cheers!
