And this is just so beautiful. Even though we may all will die someday, our memories and ideas will live on… Sometimes I like to imagine someone in the far future will sing this song on a world far away thinking about how this songs was written on earth and how it lives on through time and space…

Let us pause in life's journeys and count its many tears While we all sup sorrow with the poor There's a song that will linger forever in our ears Oh, hard times, come again no more 'Tis the song, the sigh of the weary Hard times, hard times, come again no more Many days you have lingered around my cabin door Oh, hard times, come again no more While we seek mirth and beauty and music, light and gay There are frail forms fainting at the door Though their voices are silent, their pleading looks will say Oh, hard times, come again no more

Weird hearing that song sung modern style with the visual setting of the 1800's.
@arielrodriguez968
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I kind of wish they'd gone with a cleaner more "classical" style of singing, so the viewers could hear what it would have sounded like at the time, but I think that the creators thought the audience would get bored without the pop ornamentations, rhythm and tone. I don't hate it but I wish directors and producers had a little more faith in audiences when it comes to period movies/shows.

Very nice arrangement, but it's too bad that it couldn't have been performed with a more era appropriate singing style instead of in a breath-y gravel-y pop music style (given that it's being performed in the context of a historical drama.)

The shows ment to be about the period but with a modern type theme to it bc in the show they say things that would have probably never actually been said

Great song but I do not think her style of singing fits the historical setting. I do not watch the show so maybe it is deliberately anachronistic.
@jaime8309

Yeah it's like a modernized account of the events, there's a lot of modern music and ig dialogue, idk how else to put it. Like, there's rap songs and getting high at 1800 themed dance parties and stuff like that lol
@LastMoonboy

They didn’t sing like that in 1855. They ruined a true American folk song with this stupid show.
