"success is down to cruel chance" - Nietzsche. There was a study that shown top rich aren't much smarter than masses, it is just it is better have highest IQ in SD1 so ppl can understand your ideas and visions... Also shown that success is down to luck. Every single thing: your parents, what you saw: how it changed your brain from start to end determines who you are. Life is a JOKE we are just billibard balls. Watch Bernardo Kastrup! Not sure if we are god, but i don't care much life is total HELL, this is HELL realm!!!

@bunnywavyxx9524

That's 200 dollars for 4 years and the minimum wage salary in Hawaii was .75 cents in 1953. He could work part time (20 hrs a week) and pay that off within a year. That's insane. In the 1950s there weren't even student loans because education was so affordable, some colleges had no tuition and little to no house, book, or transportation fees. Even the ivies were cheap to a point the cost of room and board then is the cost of 3 used college textbooks now. Everything was great for the boomers. Everything. But it sucks for us.

And that is a worldwide issue. Here in Australia, let's say Sydney or NSW, you can get a 1-bedroom apartment for $1million AUD minimum, and that includes mold on the walls and ceilings and the apartment block is 60+ years old, and hasn't been renovated in decades. The price of food has gone up, fuel has gone up, wages stay the same, rent goes up every couple of months, a lot of 'ghost job applications' with no actual jobs available. Homeless families that have low paying jobs are now living in tents or their cars at parks and along beaches car parks. And I heard this housing/rental crisis and recession is just as bad in the UK and Canada and the USA. We're all going through the same thing at the same time.

Facts, I’m trying to get my foot in the door working in cybersecurity in the government sector because you have a bit more job security as well as more advocation for advancement with pay increases versus the private sector. Especially with all of the mass layoffs in the industry, it’s literally like almost winning the lottery & some people who are working in cybersecurity really shouldn’t be there. But outside of that issue, I’m still trying to improve myself on doing hands-on experience through home labs, side-projects, helping people at my work trying to solve technical issues even though my job title doesn’t require me to do it. However, you won’t learn unless purposely throw yourself out there & you will see results of your determination. I always tell people this, “Don’t let no one: not friends, society, professors, or even your own family vear you off the path that you’ve drawn out for yourself.”

I can confirm that boomers had it easy(er). My grandma was just a secretary and she owns her own home. It's not some super nice house, but it's cozy and she bought us Christmas gifts every year, she'd buy us a videogame at Walmart or something if we went with her to Walmart. I actually do make in the neighborhood of $100k and all I could afford was a little 2 bed 1 bath half of a duplex. And I basically didn't have a life for a year to save up for the down-payment. I still sometimes wonder if I'll ever own a 3 bed 2 bath house at the least.

You gotta find something doable and be smart with your money decisions it feels like to be somewhat successful in your own eyes. Some say finding a job that makes you happy but broke would be better then working at a job with a lot of money that makes you unhappy but money makes people happy because they are literally surviving off of it! Yes if you went to college you waste time and spend money when you could have worked for some money and have a decent amount within the same four years in college, most people in our generation are probably going to live with parents until they can barely survive on their own.
