Just came across this video by chance and I will say this. Harder and steenbeck has to be one of the best companies I have ever dealt with with regards to customer support. I was actually taken back by how willing they are to please.

Their 2 in 1 is rather tempting. Only issue for me is the up front cost, as it's around $416 CAD plus GST. Still on my list of things I'd love to get though!

Also the Infinity Cr+ "two-in-one" kit only cost around 200$ here in Europe whereas Badger's are here a little more expensive than in usa..

Had my CR plus since 2014,it's still going strong and I use it regularly, it's got it's faults with the .2 needle I find the needle can stick. After leaving the brush for more than a day the nozzle that the needle slides through also can stick in the front housing. Lacquer thinners seem to cause this. Also the soft metal nozzle can wear and the needle can splay it out causing a distorted spray pattern. But these are easy to fix,I think they are over priced for what it is, but would still buy another.

The great thing about these brushes is that the replacement needles and nozzles are a fair bit cheaper than those for Iwata or Creos.

Hey! Great review! You said you wouldn't use primer with this airbrush. What airbrush would you recommend? Or is it the tip? Would a 0.4 in this brush work for primer or is there another reason? Thanks!

As someone about to get into ab, I’m curious about the “I would not run primer through it” statement. In my mind that should not be a problem with a .4 or .6 needle, right, or am I missing something? Thinking about buying the 2 in 1 (.2 + .4) v2 as my first ab, and use it for everything at first, and maybe get another later on IF needed.

So keep in mind this is designed as a detail brush. .4 and .6 and about half mm in size. If your primer is super thin and only doing spot priming would be fine but general priming would be to much work using this. You would be better off just getting and cheap siphon or large cup airbrush just for priming. Otherwise to get a good prime coat you would have to go over multiple times. Have great Christmas Dave

If your version is called "V2" it has a hardened needle whereas earlier versions were renowned for having soft nozzles and needles, check for "V2" on the box.. 😉

If your needle is plain at the end, then it's a V1. If it has the indentations then it's a V2. The V2 nozzles also have the indentations upto a certain size.

So many mixed feelings......I guess it comes to a matter of taste. The Micron or Infinity???
@alanhoutz5513
2 жыл бұрын
True. I've never tried the Harder & Steenbeck. The micron is pricier, but Iwata uses stainless steel instead of brass for their needles & nozzles, where the last I heard H&S use brass. This may have changed with the Iwata acquisition, but I don't know for sure. The parts for the Micron will be more durable, but also more expensive, as the Micron has matched head & nozzle components. I own two Microns, and would probably have a tough time justifying an Infinity just because I was curious.

Great video thank you, do you find that for up close detail spraying on a mini 25psi is too much and can cause spider webbing, or have I made a mess up like over thinning/being too heavy handed 😂, can't wait to eventually get my hands on one of these 👍

Dang shame that you got robbed of such a nice brush. Don't understand these people. Protect this one with your life. 😂 I've been wanting a airbrush and I think I'll just go ahead and get the Cadillac like yours. I think in the long run I'll be happier.

@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS

@arturoolvera2604

@@STARSHADOWWOODWORKS no, some other manufacturers have a cap that has an air bleed that makes the spray pattern fan out, instead of a round pattern. One example is the fan cap for the Paaschee raptor/talon air brushes
