Good times, man! Well, also a lot of hard times, but still worth it.

I was biting my nails when you were walking along the scary drop offs. Such a pretty area but I'm not going there.😂

You know usually that stuff doesn’t scare me much but I had many moments on this trail that downright scared me…especially after slipping!

Rad video. You should do a video of what all you packed in that backpack! Or at least drop some links to the tent / water back🤠

My favorite loop! I had never seen the stretch from the Deer Creek campsite up to the Deer Creek Spring in the daylight before my last trip. If you didn't experience it in the dark, it can get a bit windy in the pre-dawn hours. But it sure is pretty if other parties are on it and you can see all the headlamps winding up. Go again!

Oh I bet that is wild to do in the dark! That climb out of the canyon with a pack is rough… can’t imagine trying to navigate up that thing in the dark

@TheNotLostNomad and once down in the dark...really glad I didn't actually know how exposed we were. That was a huuuge year for the scorpions, too. I can't remember exactly what the conditions had been to be so perfect for them. We met two separate people who'd been clipped. One guy's arm was pretty useless.

It’s is truly an incredible trail..,but yeah this one did test us. The map will fool you into thinking it’s not that bad. The whole trail is work…we barely ever got over 1 mile an hour.

Great Grand Canyon adventure, Clint! Reminded me of some of Joey Coconato’s backpacking trips into the canyon. Jerry needs a Buc-ee’s in Arizona.😄

Hey thank you! This one was an adventure for sure. I’m not sure if I’ve seen his before…I’ll need to check it out! And yeah I was blown away that he had never heard of Buc-ee’s before…so I picked those up on the way to the airport. Also got the salted caramel…so good!

Thank you!! Nice! That’s exactly how you should feel! A little fear will help you stay safer, you’ll absolutely love this loop though. It’s unlike any other Grand Canyon hike I’ve done before. Enjoy your trip! Let me know how it goes!

Looks fun and really challenging. I want to do this one but I need some more experience as well as Im working on my fear of heights 😂. I don’t want to freeze up on one of those ledges. Looks wild! Thanks for sharing.

Those ledges were intense! And then carrying a pack made it that much more precarious. If you are used to the Supes you should be fine…it’s just a slow going trail. Only in a few sections were we able to get faster than 1mph. Thank you for watching!

On my bucket list. Actually jeeped into the trailhead and looked in. But watching this I’m afraid I’m something of a sissy who doesn’t like 2” wide trails with a 500’ free fall.

Haha! yeah this trail has some of the most sketchiest sections I've ever seen on a trail...and adding a heavy pack makes it even more challenging.

If you don't mind me asking what dates did you go and how were the temps? I am attempting this one later this year.

Don’t mind at all…we did this at the end of October…hiked out on Halloween in fact. The temps were mid 70’s during the day…although it felt like triple digits at times with the sun. At night it got very cold…upper 30’s maybe. Once the sun went down it was very hard not to just call it a night and go to bed.
