Wes I rebuilt our 361 pump in our Hardi sprayer 4 yrs ago and its been fine. We spray 1500 acres per year. Hardi makes a great sprayer but parts are expensive. I switched all the nozzles to Tee Jet, tj has a special cap that attaches to the hardi nozzle. If my pump were to wear out again i would switch to centrifigual hydraulic driven. Good luck in 2017.

I agree with Kevin a parts washer is a must, buy or build one even a tank where you can put a burner under it and air agitate and use just plain old laundry soap will save you a lot of headaches.

Wes I have a Hardi sprayer as well, don't do fertilizer in it so the pump lasts longer. A tip for you, Hardi has a cap you can buy L think it was $5 and you can put ordinary tee jet style nozzles in it. Did my pump last year for $1200 Canadian. I enjoy your videos keep them coming

Take a good look at the connecting rods where they contact the bearings and the cups that keep the rods with the bearings. The rods and cups often wear so that the rods don't stay tight to the bearings thus reducing the stroke. Yours may be fine as I can see you keep it well greased. Often if you can't produce good flow it is due to this easily overlooked wear point. Best of luck to you this season.

We had a mega 350 with the same pump ran it over 2500 acres 3-4 times a year for 17 years, great sprayers but we got tired of rebuilding the pump and finally put a new one on and it lasted longer up until we upgraded to a new sprayer.

Hi Wes. You are probably aware of this already, but standard flat fan nozzles can be very poor at putting down fertilizer as they aerate the mixture and cause a great deal of volitization. They can also cause allot of leaf scorch. To minimise this affect, make sure you have a big enough nozzle so that you get a coarse spray pattern. Good luck.

Switch it to a Hypro pump can rebuild them including the hydraulic motor for around $400 and a new pump is under $1000. We have had hypro pumps on our last 2 sprayers a PT and now a Rogator. Also if you go away from streamer nozzles and use herbicide nozzles you may have issues with the nozzles plugging. We use Teejet SJ3 streamers they work well then for herbicide we use 8002 AI nozzles and 8004 s for fungicide.

Just curious Wes but why not have a Safety-Kleen parts washer? They don't take up much room and they keep the extra mess in one area.

i cant believe how you can survive without a proper workbench with vise and a tub for cleaning parts... are those spray thingies really that cheap over there ? I use kerosene, an old brush and compressed air. not saying that you can't do it, i've done it before in the field but it sucks. why do you have a shop ? You just need half a 55 gallon drum and a little expanded metal
