Excellent video on bass heads, I too have 4 bass heads, veyron,ampegbr2E, Eden WTX500 and a Mesa Subway 800 D. My favorite is the Eden. But they all have certain things I like Individually. Great video on bass heads Johnny!!

Couldn't wait for you to tear into this one! Honestly, solid-state power amps are simple circuits with cost effective parts in their construction. Build quality is the only thing that shouldn't be cost effective and at this price, it's not an issue. This let's you see what a brand name power amp is worth without the big name printed onto the enclosure. A PA is literally the same, minus circuitry for those exact frequency filter/boost knobs for bass guitars and purpose wound speakers for the job. I'm going to order one, but I was wondering how long it took to find its way to you. 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼

Thanks for reviewing this. I will trust people with 25% of your skills. Wooow are you just simply incredible! If you were in Boston I'd want to jam (I'm a guitarist but my bassist doesn't invest in his equipment so I'm interjecting and doing it myself)

I've seen your videos today, you playing whit the band and singing "the walk" and " you haven't done nothing", but the comments are deactivated on those. So I comment here : good job, great singing and playing, nice to se you're involved and not silent. Commitment for a cause can be also groovy, why not? And btw now the audio is improoved

Ken Smith would sound awesome through a soup can. Use a less expensive bass to see what the amp can really do.

Hi Johnny, That amp is sweet and clean sounding for the money. Did you change the fretboard on that smith? The 6 string I recall you having had oval inlays on the fretboard.

This comment is about the other two videos you posted with the band because comments are turned off on those... Of course the music is great, live the bass playing and your voice... Didn't know you had pipes. But what I really really want to address is the threads, you rock them, I wish I could, I love that coat! And the hat. I mean I expect nothing less from you but still I'm very impressed shadakaka

Is it normal to have white noise with this amp? Seems consistently there even with bass unplugged and doesn't seem to get much louder when turning up the volume

I think the Harley Benton Block is an overlooked amp. People see the price and features and think its bad. But it isnt. I just got a great Harley Benton guitar and i bite myself for not doing it earlier! Its a STEAL! Also imagine the price for having a rig that doesnt drown against a heavy metal band... But the Block is the solution. Harley Benton also made cabs but stopped making them 1-2 years ago, which is a shame because they were also an absolute steal. 4x10 for 200+/- and a 1x15 for 150ish and they compete with anything under 500 bucks (per cab) easily. Shame they stopped that. Full rig for 600 bucks, new, guaranted working, powerful enough to make half the city rumble... i swaped from guitar to bass to late man!
