Sorry, as I was reading through your post I see that they are HD bars. ONE OTHER QUESTION . Do they make you lean a lot more foreword . If so as much as a crotch rocket. Don't want that!!! Thanks Keith
@wachuko
10 жыл бұрын
Keith, they do... not a lot, but enough that you are not going to be as comfortable as with higher bars or some pullback raisers.... Best to see if you can find a bike with them and try them before you buy...

Jaime, I echo all these positive comments and only add that I have never heard such a manly rumble as the one your bike has. I own a 2014 Model 72 and my only gripe is the small peanut tank.....It looks great, but I now visit the pump more often then when riding my Honda Valkyrie. Well needless to say I ordered the Bob Cat and I am awaiting delivery. I told my HD mechanic about my purchase and he immediately said......the installation of the muffler is on me. Mostly every Sportster in Puerto Rico have the VH Shortshots, although I like the sound............I love the sound of the Bobcat,s. Lastly, the Chief Engineer at D&D stated that they only make one baffle for the BobCat muffler. I also inquired into the Performance Baffles and that was his reply....Any comment? Thanks and greetings from Puerto Rico. Good Ridding and keep the shiny side up!!!
@wachuko

Mi bello Puerto Rico... Isla del Encanto!! Saludos Frank. On the D&D, when I first bought it they had two options for baffles and then went on to just having one... so you are correct, today they only offer one option on baffles. Ride safe!

I'm going for the same pipe for my 2014 - 48. Did you have to reconfigure your fuel mapping etc after pipe install? What forum's would you recommend. Sweet Ride!
@wachuko
10 жыл бұрын
I did remap the bike since I did both intake and exhaust. My understanding is that if you are doing just one of the two, you are fine without changing maps. My recommendation is that if you plan on continuing to mod your bike, get the Dynojet PowerVision...it is the way to go. I bought mine from Jamie at FuelMoto. Great guys to deal with. No affiliation, blah, blah blah, just one happy customer. As to forums, the one dedicated to Sportster is: xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/index.php but the Sportster section in the HD Forums is also great: www.hdforums.com/forum/sportster-models-10/

Have you put rear sets on yet? How did you like the riding position with the cafe seat and the drag bars?
@wachuko
10 жыл бұрын
Riding position with the Cafe seat and the HD drag bars is fine. Anything lower on the bars (clip-ons for example) and it would be uncomfortable to ride... Of course it all depends on your posture and age, lol. I was looking at the rear sets from Chainsikle (4-041 standard shift rearsets for 2013 48 with D&D Bobcat, Optional black anodizing, 1-002 braided rear brake line). But since I will be using the bike with the springer seat and bags... I held off on this mod. I really like the springer seat and the floorboards, so looks like I will keep it that way. I hope that helps.
