Harley's turning 4 and the last year riding with him as a 3 year old has been amazing to watch him learn and progress with such a huge smile on his face!
Harley learned a few easy bike tricks along the way and gained a load of bike handling skills - what will being 4 bring for him?
Thank you so much to everyone following Harley on his learning to ride journey; liking and commenting on videos, subscribing... finding us over on Insta - even some of you coming to ride with him!! It means so much! THANK YOU to each and everyone of you supporting.
Wanna skip a bit? CHAPTERS!
Introduction: 00:00 - 00:08
Early on (Nov - Apr) 00:09 - 00:38
The summer! (May - Aug) 00:39 - 01:47
Last month of being 3 (where we saw the biggest progress!) 01:48 - 04:45
Talking through the video... the intro was filmed a few days before Harleys 4th birthday after we made an impromptu visit to the brand new Northampton Bike Park: we tried out every trail there! There are trails graded green through to black but everything is rollable (probably isn't a true 'black' but with it being a free place to ride it is best to make people aware that this one isn't for total beginners!!) The blacks are fast with some huge jumps (must be 15-20ft on the face of them?!) and Harley declared that these trails were his fav... it's a snippet of him riding the black run that featured at the start of this video.
After Harley introduces himself (best I could convince him to do was while he messed around on the sofa!) I take the videos back to the start of being 3... November... when the weather was cold and we were all wrapped up... and he discovered the art of the motorbike doughnut!! From there he was having fun on his home made manual machine, determined to learn wheelies/manuals but also itching to do tricks (check out his attempt at a one hander!?)
In Feb 2021 we were given the 100k subscriber silver award from KZitem - and we celebrated with a private hire at Adrenaline Alley and cake. Harley thought it was his birthday and for about 3 months he went around telling everyone that he was now 4.
In March 2021 ONEAL racing took Harley on as a rider. Their support has been incredible over the past 7 months and has helped to take Harleys riding on to the next level; thanks to having all kit provided (to him and us as his parents!!) we can focus on providing him more places to ride and upgrading his bikes. Check out the kit here:

In July Spawn took Harley on as a Sponsored (Spawnsored) rider and gave him his incredible 20 inch YamaJama. We discovered the MTB trails at the Forest of Dean as a family - Harley suddenly decided he was going to up his speed and his mum decided she should too... resulting in an OTB, open fracture and a nice little trip to hospital for her!
August saw us going on our family holiday down to Cornwall and while we were there we visited the Track Portreath and Concrete Waves... places we head to every year we go. Only this year was the first year that Harley needed no help from us on the ramps/track and he decided he wanted to do the resi jump. In the rain!!! So he helped dry off the resi then quickly got his bike up to the top and went for it. 1 attempts he didn't go quite fast enough and came to a stop on the top, 1 attempt his feet came off mid air... and then the final attempt before the rain got too bad is the one shown here - where he kept his feet on and rolled down the other side. What isn't shown in this video was him then slipping on the wet resi at the bottom and having a cuddle with the floor!
September was a huge development leap for Harley. He really showed us how determined he is and how much he wanted to start trying new things. Fly Up 417 Blue Raccoon has always been our go to trail - but he declared he wanted to try something harder and we went over to the Cheese Roller... which is now his new favourite!
Harley learned to clear motocross jumps, clear a small double/gap (with us in it!), he learned to keep a manual wheelie up for a few seconds (without using the brake)
Best of all for this year... he gained so many friends! Head over to our Instagram @rockstar.harley and check out some of the riders tagged in our posts. They're all equally incredible little humans and Harley loves them all to bits.
There were so many behind the scenes and outtakes I couldn't fit into this video without making it pretty long... so I might make a second version in the future with more of the bloopers!
THANK YOU for supporting me - see you for some carnage in the year of 4!
