Why is a vague 30 year old fragment from a not overly popular Australian tv show such a big meme in the yogscast?

It was relatively popular in the UK. They grew up with it. I also grew up with it because my parents watched it in the 2000s. The theme song is ingrained into my memory for all eternity.

Unable to remember. Now we know where Darwin got the idea for the 5 year canoeing trip to fake his own death. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Darwin_disappearance_case

an even better question than why a 28 year old event form an australian soap is a meme among a youtube group in the uk is why are a bunch of people watching an 13 year old video from og youtube because of a fanchannel for a youtube group?

Ramsey Street, more like Death Street. It wasn’t a season finale unless someone died.

Neighbours is still pretty popular not like it was but I still watch it as do many others. They wouldn’t air it if it didn’t have a few viewers at least.

This should remind us all about the dangers of romantic strolls by the coast. Did anyone ever notice that when madge died, no-one moved her body from her house for weeks

Ian Smith had left Neighbours in 1991 but carried on as a writer until he returned in 1996.

No, he didn't, he stopped writing for the show when he left...it wasn't even his choice to leave in the first place, they axed his character.
