No one wants to address how our DNA became a crime scene. Children will be shown this movie in school without having a broader context. While the feelings of whites were spared, the image of brutal Black men was reinforced.

You know what, a movie was done about the underground railroad back in the 70s because I remember watching it. I was a kid then, but I do remember watching it. And let me tell you, that was a good movie.

That may have been the TV miniseries "A Woman Called Moses" starring Cicely Tyson that came out in 1978.

Laurie, I think we might be related...I'm what you call a melungeon I did my DNA I matched with a lot of Collins, Mayle/Male/Mail, Kennady's Dalton's, Norris the list go's on! My 2 times grandmother was Alice b Male

Hi Granny_Hack, I heard of Melungeons for the first time a couple years ago from Masaman's KZitem channel. Peter and I are Creoles (and first cousins) which I understand is a very similar racial mix to Melungeons. Our family is from Louisiana and our name evolved to Collins over many generations as our French surname was Americanized. I'm sorry to say the other surnames you mentioned are not relations of ours.
