In 2023 we were fed a TV diet of "reality" TV. Harry Butler was our reality TV and for that I'm forever grateful. R.I.P Harry.

Growing up on Harry Butler In The Wild I was expectant to find a creature everytime I lifted up a rock in the bush! 😃. A great educational conservationist

Harry brought real scholarship to conservation. His approach, lacking usually in cheap sentimentality, made his delivery all the more compelling.

Harry was a real man of the country and brought the bush into our lounge room in an interesting way without any ridiculous effects and “By crickeys”!

I've always loved the balls on guys like Harry, Jack Absolom, Les Hiddens, etc. They pull up some chunk of bark, they find a Water Rat, or Platypus or something. If I pulled up a chunk of bark, it would **always** be a family of pissed off red bellied black snakes.

Holding animals by the tail hurts a whole lot. It's no wonder he wants to bite you. He's really cute though

@@abruwithabrewandbanter3933 No. They're called water rats. Even by Aboriginals. The only ppl who do are simple minded uneducated fools. Why should i or any other Aboriginal call it a Rakali? And if you think "everyone" calls them an rakali, then you need to tune out of the ABC for a while and mix with actual Australians.
