Mmmm. Makes my mouth water! Our weather in Colorado has been extremely hot, cloudy and humid the last few years. I must hone my mushroom harvesting skills as I am now surrounded by what could be a bountiful harvest! Thanks for this reminder of the wonders of mycelium! I make kombucha tea and it is such a healing and therapeutic drink.

Hi thanks!! This is becoming more and more our favorites! One question: what oil you use? This mushroom tends to be a bit bitter, if not well cooked, and any animal fat helps to break that down.. so i was wondering Cheers!

The wife likes it with about half olive oil & half butter. I think the younger they are when you pick them the less bitter they are, try to avoid the older ones. Chris

@@chriskathy9865 thanks 😉 some animal fat should have been involved i was sure. One hint from here: if they are older, wipe the “tooth” off. I will Sure try your recipe!!!! Just curious how fast they cook on frying. They are coming now here

I just found some yesterday and I’m in central Maine. I’m sure it depends on your local recent climate. It’s looking like it will be a good year in my area with the all the rain lately.
