Brian do you spray acid on the pea soil too? The crust sure looks like it breaks up easy. I wonder if I can use one of those pickups for grass windrows. Thanks.

Don, No acid on the pea ground usually. Those fields were some of the lighter soil that has the texture of flour. I hate the pickett head. It is too rough on a lot of the varieties of peas and beans. Right between the rake teeth and auger are 2 transition rollers that allow material to fall through. Some bean types are real bad having the pod break free from the vine or shelling open. A rakeup from MacDon is 10 times the pickup

Just wondering, why not solid seed these and harvest with a flex head? That's how we do it around where I am from.

Nice video. I want to ask, what type of adjustments did you made to the combine. We had tried before. But most of the peas broken to two pieces in the combine.

Large wire concaves. Slow down kit for the feed accelerator and grain elevators. Run the cylinder as slow as possible, Works good, no seed damage
