The blooms on broccoli florets are actually very good. They have a mild, sweet broccoli flavor. They can be added to salads or used in stir-fry.

I use the whole stalk even! Just peel the outside layer off and cut them up. Small for stir fries and things, but I throw them in pasta and soups and things too. Good fiber and nutrients and basically no waste!

If I was a betting girl I would be willing to bet that most folks would enjoy working with your family. It was nice to meet Julius. I think it’s great that he has the opportunity to try many things and find his special calling ❤. Just a side note, my chickens LOVE lettuce trimmings and I feed them all of my growth that begun to bolt. I even grow it indoors during the winter just to feed them during the long cold Minnesota winters. Maybe you could feed them that lettuce that is too far gone. I bet they would REALLY get excited about that 😁
