Harvey Milk was not honorably discharged from the United States Navy. His paperwork states "other than honnorable" after having to recount his escapades to navy investigators including names of partners.
@RyeOnHam
4 жыл бұрын
It is an important distinction. The public can think of it as this. An "honorable" discharge means you served honorably and were discharged normally. "Dishonorable" means just that. It is akin to having committed a felony and getting fired for it. Oftentimes, this coincides with some punishment like confinement, fines, etc. "Other than honorable" is the same as dishonorable but for lesser offenses and usually without much punishment, if any.
@eldorados_lost_searcher
4 жыл бұрын
@@RyeOnHam Isn't there also a "general" discharge where you've done something that they can't formally punish you for? This discharge, I've been told, can be appealed after a period of time and changed to an "honorable."

I heard an interview with Dianne Feinstein several years ago. Feinstein knew both Milk and White very well. According to Feinstein, Milk and White were actually good friends. They even had lunch together once a week. I know, strange bedfellows, but it happens. When Dan White tried to get his position back, he went to Milk for support. Milk refused. White then shot Milk, not because Milk was gay, but because White considered the lack of support a betrayal of their friendship.

Murder is murder regardless, "hate crimes" are just an excuse to be racist against white people. You never see "hate crime" get slapped on a black guy killing a white person even though statistically that happens way more than white on black.

Typically this channel focuses mainly on what the people are most famous for but it doesn’t seem politically bias in anyway and I’ve seen probably all of these. Although it was definitely worth mentioning all the bad stuff he’s done
